DaFoot
I might be persuaded to come along to this.... see if I can muster the courage to snap away at strangers!
hockeybear
I might be persuaded to come along to this.... see if I can muster the courage to snap away at strangers! I have the same reservations, perhaps we should stick together and just photograph dead things :hihi:
Wojtekk
Ah, I'd love to be there but it's a workshop day. Maybe I'll try to contact them separately and to go there some other time Great opportunity for an amazing journalism stuff. I cross my fingers for you
Hemlock
Well, just been in touch with Castle Market. 2 problems: 1. THe castle ruins were flooded out a few weeks ago & they're still in the process of drying them out. 2. The bloke in charge of the appointments is on holiday until next Monday. so, we can leave this one until we can get to visit the ruins if you want. But, we need other suggestions instead! So, where else does anyone fancy? Please post asap so we can arrange something Thanks X
scoobz
Does anyone remember the old Sheffield markets the “Rag and Tag” and the “Norfolk Market Hall”? I used to love going round these places with my mum when I was a kid in the early fifties. My Grandma used to tell me about the rag n' tag market when I was a sprog. This was in the early 60's, when my Gran was in her 80's. Are you sure it was in the 50's Neoteric? From memory I thought my Gran said it was popular in the 20's

Can I suggest part of the Norfolk Heritage Trail see this link. Bit pushed for time now but I know the area quite well and could come up with an itinery/route - but would involve a bit of walking and uphill? Hemlock
I think we'll postpone a meet until Saturday 8th March seeing as the original meet has been postponed. Other ideas for this meet have been: Endcliffe & Bingham Parks, & Shepherds wheel Norfolk Heritage trail, (but best left until guided tour arranged) Graves park - animals & ponds How about a scrap yard? Or boats on Victoria locks? Any other ideas? Not mch time left to arrange anything beforehand.

Hemlock
Just had another idea - how about Wentworth Garden Centre, with interesting gardens & animals & Wentworth Woodhouse - the largest fronted house in England. Plus parkland & 4 follies. Sounds good to me. Lots of variety & interesting things to photograph. See this link http://www.wentworthgardencentre.co.uk/index.htm We could arrange lifts between us for those without transport, or perhaps me & pippo or neoteric could find a link for public transport for me - they're really good at finding links:D So, who's up for this? Or do the other ideas sound better? Venue with most interest wins!!
