  1. Sorry I can't make this walk, I left it till the last minute to see how I was, hopefully will get back out again soon. Hope you all have an enjoyable day.
  2. Well it was good to get back and start with a nice gentle stroll and some geat contrast between the old and new in this lovely part of Sheffield. No otters but some people beavering away in their wet suits cleaning out the river. Great company and laughter all evening, thanks to everyone for their best wishes and I'm so much looking forward to getting out and about on some longer walks soon. Also thanks to Mr & Mrs Hemlock for the lift it was much appreciated.
  3. I'm really looking forward to this - I've had the distinct feeling that I've recently been the victim of a Vampire - the NHS lost my blood sample:hihi:) and also seem to have developed an aversion to walking in the daylight. Vell, Vell my little bat friends just vait and see:huh:
  4. Hopefully I will be able to get on this one - doesn't seem like too much walking.
  5. I'm determined to go on this one even if I can't manage the full walk I can sit in a deckchair and eat ice cream:hihi: I'm not driving at the moment but I think I've had an offer of a lift from vincentvega and nooka - if they remember:help:
  6. Sorry about the short notice and my absence from the walks and the forum for the past month or so, I'm still having continuing problems with my health but would like to get along to this one. Don't know if I will be up to the full course, but I can always find my way back to the Harlequin - but alas have to stay off the juice:( I know it's short notice but I would appreciate a lift from where I work if anyone is going from around St Mary's Road. If not I will try and get there for 6:00pm and will txt scoobz if I'm going to be late. Really missed everyone so looking forward to seeing you all there:love:
  7. Funny you should mention that, after 4 years of reciting my times tables at school I never learned them fully; always a daydreamer even then:hihi: so I may be having problems with the 1, 2, 5, 8 and 11 as well. For anyone coming along who is not familiar with the rules and betting at roulette I've put a link here but note I'm not doing the 'En Prison' rule.
  8. Apologies for leaving this so late, but I've waited until the last minute to see if I am well enought to come along on this walk, but unfortunately not. Hope you all have an enjoyable walk and look forward to being fit and well soon. Neo x
  9. I may be able to help out - I've got a 14" one, roulette wheel that is! and a green baize roulette layout plus a reversible blackjack/poker green baize layout plus 500 casino chips plus 100 poker chips plus normal and poker dice and a few decks of cards. Ooooh horse racing with ladies in elegant hats - and the promise of cake sounds like heaven to me. Scoobz please put me down for the food as well and mine's a martini - shaken not stirred:hihi: Seems like I've been getting in some practise for the roulette already.
  10. That's going to be a fantastic night out, they had one of these - just Roulette and Blackjack - at our works Christmas Dinner and it great fun. Mind you I'm partial to a bit of gambling and it doesn't hurt so much when you loose with pretend money. I'm looking forward to running the Roulette Wheel and will have plenty of casino chips for you to "buy" with all that funny money that we will be giving away at the start - so come on you budding Millionaires, it's Monte Carlo time. Could we round the evening off with a late night disco as well
  11. That was an enjoyable night, sorry I had to leave early as I was feeling a bit under the weather; probably a combination of strong antibiotics, hepititus B jab and spending most of the day at the doctors/hospital. Sorry to hear about your car scoobz, hope it all gets sorted soon.
  12. Sorry I'm not going to be able to make this Sunday;- I have some different kinds of mountains to climb on the domestic front. Hope you all enjoy your walk - see you soon.
  13. Looks like a buisness opening here, only too happy to help u post your pictures as well Snow Don, will PM you and arrange.
  14. Well remembered scoobz, that little creek by Ashopton certainly looked different today from October 2007 when it was covered in Green Slime - quite psychedelic.
