Did anyone work at Tesco supermarket, in Hillsborough in the 1970's?

yep thats him allways in the bookies, blimey its brought a few memories back i was only 18 then.

I was 17 and left when I was 18 in 79... do you remember Alana and Mark? They were courting at the time.

yes marks brother used to work behind the bar at the wapentake alana lived on walkley lane i used to live on morley street.

Im trying to remember more names... Sarah and then there was Kath Mitchel-- Ill try to remember other names. I had quite a time working there and I was sad to leave the place.

Theres a cemetary under the place so they werent allowed to sell booze?

Not quite, but it was the site of a church and you are correct they will never be allowed to sell alcohol on that land.

if you mean tesco they couldn't get a liquor license be cause its built on the old church think
