Veggie food in Sheffield

Can anyone recommend a good veggie restaurant in Sheffield please?

kum quat mai on abbeydale road is very nice and on tuesdays they do 3 courses for a tenner have a search for in on here as a lot of forumers went there for a meal out.

I'd thoroughly recommend Kumquat Mae- never had a bad meal there.

Oooh I shall be watching this thread to see what else people come up with, and then I shall be insisting my meat-eating friends join me at one of the places! I once went into a veggie cafe in Hull, the most gorgeous food ever! I'd be interested to now if there's anything like it around here:love:

The best vegetarian food I ever had was in Oregon. I was at a convention for 10 days and never ate meat once because it was not available on site. Let me add here that I am a carnivore not a vegetarian. Red meat does not feature large in my diet and meat and two veg is anathema. Meat and 5 or 6 veg is nearer the mark.

Whilst in Oregon I ate "chicken, bacon, beefsteak, sausage." It was impossible to tell the difference between the real thing and the tofu based product in my hand.

Try as I may I have never come across anything remotely similar in quality or lip smacking scrumptiousness. If I did.........

I asked a question on here before and someone mentioned Baan Thai having great vegi options. (Well I hope the do as I'm booked in to go this Sat!!)

Th food and atmosphere at The Bohemian on Chesterfield Rd at Meersbrook (mentioned above) is lovely: vegetarian/vegan/fish dishes.Mainly seems to be Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern style. Reasonable prices too and you can take your own wine.
