  1. Well I book taxis at work for a blind man who has an alsation, and we use mercury. Try them
  2. Has anyone ever had a phone call from someone claiming to be from PC Solutions, that they are getting reports from your broadband provider that you have viruses on your computer. They would put you onto a technician where they would talk you through the process of stopping these viruses. After 10 mins of conversion, I said "How do I know this is 'le git' (legitimate), to which he replied 'No I'm Kevin' lol. He was foreign and could not understand a word he said. I then went onto the website http://www.ammyy.com and looked at what he told me to download where I found in the corner theses words - !!! If you receive a phone call claiming to be from 'Microsoft' or someone claiming to work on their behalf, telling you that you have a virus on your computer or some errors which they will help you to fix via Ammyy Admin, it is definitely a scam. There also might be phone calls from people presenting themselves as internet service provider technicians or any other tech support specialists. Ammyy Inc. is a legit software development company, we take the privacy and security of our customers and partners personal information very seriously. We are advising Ammyy Admin users to treat all unsolicited phone calls with skepticism and not to grant access to your PC to anyone you don't know personally. We can assure you Ammyy Inc. doesn't make these kinds of calls and never asks to download and launch Ammyy Admin. I told him this was a scam and assured me it was to my benefit it was not a scam, after 10 mins of abuse and me saying "What part of 'No' don't you understand, your not having control of my computer" i told him to P*** off. Anyone else had experience of this type of call.
  3. But why is it when we need the gritters when there has been a covering of snow they're nowhere to be seen. Do we really need them when there is a covering of frost, ice yes!
  4. I had the same thing a couple of years ago. The gritter was going through Oughtibridge on the main road, but strangely enough the Road Sweeper was directly behind the gritter sweeping it back up. Clueless and they wonder why it is wasted!
  5. Well I've had two cars off him and both been excellent and no trouble. The reason he has moved was parking.g issues around there, so he's moved back to his old garage he used to have.
  6. I know its annoying me now, been over my house 3 times now, all its flashing lights lighting garden up. But hey what would we do without it, they catch a load if trouble makers, joy riders.
  7. It's actually outside Browns near the Peace Gardens. Tax till next year. Looks an arrogant sort of person though.
  8. How do people get away with these fines. We have one bloke who parks his car outside our works (everyday he comes and goes). He gets one ticket a day, cos he wont pay in bay, or parks in a No Parking Zone (Pedestrian way). He has had a total of 31 tickets up to now, cos the attendant has told us, he is a persistent offender. He comes back to his car rips the notice off his screen, screws it up and throws it on the floor.
  9. Well I bought a car from them last night, and they were absolutely brilliant, couldn't ask for more, they even delivered it to my daughters house for her. Shane and Grant lovely lads
  10. Yes I have only quoted Beef but says same for others. Actually could not tell what carcasses they were as I was driving past. I will await to see what reply I get from Crawshaws! Misleading I think
  11. Can someone clarify: I thought that these butchers supplied local produce. When I've been in pubs/restaurants they state that their meat is local from John Crawshaws. All beef purchased is supplied directly from local farms in the West Pennine Yorkshire Region (South Yorkshire), from our supplier N.Bramhall and Son who are based at Near Coates Farm in Oxspring Sheffield have been our suppliers for many years. As stated on Website. But yet in fact when I've passed my local John Crawshaws (Stocksbridge) early in the mornings, I yet see a big foreign lorry unloading carcasses of meat. And all this time I thought it was locally produced.
  12. He worked in Moorfoot on the Telephone system, or pretended to!
  13. Well since this story, a few have said he was quite weired!
  14. Can anyone give me any advice on cruises to Alaska! When is the best time to go, cruise lines etc. I particularly want to see the wildlife, whales, bears etc. Anything will be appreciated.
  15. Yes this is quite shocking, more so that I knew the bloke who worked in the same company as me! Known him for years, it just goes to show that you never know who you work with. TOTALLY SHOCKED
  16. here here! yes you have your rough places, i moved up there 5 years ago from Oughtibridge and would not go back! Where we live is lovely and quiet. OK it is a bit far out! Only trouble I have is getting out of stocksbridge in the winter with the snow and ice, I have to get down so many hills! Go for it!
  17. At least the kids won't need a shower/bath when they get home, one mum stated (overheard at lunch time).
  18. well very sorry, just put in the wrong thread!!!!!!!
  19. I had some devastating news this week. Someone had told my husband (via another person) that a very dear friend of his had died on Sunday. Well we found out late last night that he hadn't died at all, he still lives in the Care Home, since a stroke 6 years ago (only in his late 40s early 50s). I telephone the Care Home and was told he was alive and kicking!!! Why don't people get their facts right, instead of causing total stress to family and friends (someone had rung his son to say sorry for his loss) it was news to him.
  20. Just a thought! Do they rinse these cans out first before displaying, cos surely the dregs would start smelling!!!!
  21. Sorry for this but we have just found out that he is not dead. Just makes you sick that someone can tell you that. They ought to get the facts right, I sincerely apologise.
  22. Well just been discussing this thread and my husband knows everyone of them, and told me some real stories.
  23. Moneysavers Pet Centre for the one in Skegness, just up from Kentucky. The one I got it from was in Mablethorpe. My parrot is very happy, comes out everyday, very tame, wants to try and pinch your food off your fork/mouth etc. He's very talkative and has picked quite a lot of sayings up in the 9months ive had him. Travels to Skegness most weekends when we go to van.
  24. My amazon parrot cost me £700 (3 months old at the time). That is mine in my photo!
