  1. I do childrens parties tailored to what you are wanting with nail art, sparkly make up and glitter tattoos. Most people have glitter tattoos and nail art which is ÂŁ8 per head including party bags
  2. Can you book me in for a space then please. I plan to do mostly glitter tattoos but they are something quite new to me so I don't know how well they will go which is why I am still doing nail art as well. Thanks
  3. Hi everyone, I do mobile beauty in Rotherham and Sheffield and I am looking for any summer fairs or ladies nights that I can have a stall at. Depending on the event and what the organisers want I usually do one of or a mix of the following: File and Polish Nail Art Brow Shapes Glitter Tattoos If anyone knows of any or has space at one they are doing please let me know. Thanks
  4. Is it just craft fairs or do you have other stalls too?
  5. Hi could you let me know how much a stall would be either to do nails art or glitter tattoos Thanks
  6. Nope not really. Just make sure you only use acetone free when removing polish of false nails or overlays.
  7. i don't use MMA most use EMA and should be using EMA. MMA is what is used in dental filling and should never be used on nails.
  8. I've just been on the website so it's working for me they are based in Handsworth but I can't find the opening times. I've picked 4 workshops to attend, just need to get them booked
  9. I personally charge ÂŁ5 on top of your manicure cost so that you can choose what quality manicure you want whether that be a mini manicure (ÂŁ9), a manicure (ÂŁ12) or a luxury manicure (ÂŁ16). But there is a lot of difference in how each place does it. From a normal manicure with polish you can expect to get about a week of wear from your polish depending on how well you look after it and the condition of your nails. I hope that helps a bit.
  10. That sounds good can you send me some more info
  11. Ridges in your nails are most often caused by traumer to you eponichium (you would call it your cuticle) this caused your nails to grow with ridges if they are downwards. If they are across they are usually because you have had illnesses some time ago and your body is concentrating so much on repairing your body that your nails end up ridged as they grow. You could try ridge filler base coat from a reputable brand (I like OPI) but should never try to remove them using a file. A nail tech may buff them slightly in a manicure to neaten them up a bit but will never fully flatten them (or shouldn't) as this will weaken your nails and cause more problems in the long run. You could try gel polish as that is a bit thicker so might smooth them out and last longer as well. I can't say for definate if that would work as it depends how bad they are. A natural nail overlay (silk looks more natural for those) will smooth them out so you can polish them with no bumps. I hope that helps.
  12. The busy bees classes sound good the only problem is I can't do the day time in the week due to work
  13. I'm looking for any craft classes that are coming up. Do you know of one or are you running one? If so will you share the details. Thanks
  14. Don't be silly you can still have them painted pretty you should be OK with polish or what about minx that looks fab and won't matter that they are short
  15. You should let them heal properly first anyway even if its just for the fact that you won't know if it is that or if they are just sore that day as well. I hope it isn't hurting too much and effecting your card making. You might just have to learn to love your natural nails instead. I thought it best to put the reply on here anyway as it might help someone else too.
  16. Cheryl this was my reply on facebook from Doug: Doug Schoon If this is an allergy, not a skin irritation, then she's more likely to have a higher tendency to be allergic to many other types of products, either L&P or UV curing. My best recommendation, other than natural nails, would be cyanoacrylate based "nail wraps", since they have a tendency to work well for sensitive clients. I do nail wraps so if you want to give them a go we could try that or your normal tech might do them but it's up to you as you may still be allergic to those anyway.
  17. That's a bit strange, I didn't mean it was her fault you can't prevent any product contact with the skin I just meant we keep it to a minimum. I've e-mailed Doug but I don't think there are any other options for enhancements, I also think it's in gel polish. Sorry x
  18. It is possible to develop allergies thats why we try to keep contact with the skin to a minimum, techs are usually OK because we don't actually touch the product. x
  19. Cheryl theres some info for you here writen by Doug Schoon, who is like the main man when it comes to product chemistry. There are acrylates in all of them however there are different types. Have a look and let me know if you know what type it is or how you know you have the alergy as that may help. All artificial nails and adhesives, including UV gels, liquid-and-powder, fabric wraps, and dips are based on some type of acrylate, which includes urethane acrylate oligomers, methacrylates, and cyanoacrylates. It would be unlikely that a person would be allergic to “all acrylates” in general, since some are highly unlikely to cause allergic skin reactions. It’s more likely that a person would develop an allergic sensitivity to specific acrylates. A qualified medical doctor can perform various test to determine which particular type of acrylate is the cause of a skin sensitivity. Since these types of skin problems are generally caused by prolonged and/or repeated exposure, simply changing to another product and using it a fashion that can cause overexposure will likely lead to development of allergies to the new product as well. Nail professionals should work in such a way as to prevent prolonged and repeated skin contact, which will minimize the potential for developing adverse skin reactions. — Doug Schoon is chief scientific advisor for CND.
  20. I think that all the enhancement systems use it but I'm going to look into it and I'll get back to you later x
  21. I wanted to come along but I don't tend to knit I do more crochet can I bring that instead?
