  3. I'm not sure it was a benefits claimant, I was upset and ranted, perhaps what I should have said is a scumbag with no thought for others and we did actually check the bins but as my boots were a Christmas present and my partners trainers were only a couple of months old they were certainly not in a poor state of repair!
  4. That's appalling, especially with your kids being with you too, just horrible, but surely the complex has CCTV installed somewhere? Thanks and yes it wasn't nice for my girls to see their mum sobbing her eyes out! They do have cctv on the lockers, which the duty manager spent ages looking through but if they were taken from a cubicle for obvious reasons they are not allowed to have cameras on them so there wasn't much they could do.
  5. Just wanted to say a big thanks to the low life scum that put a totally crap end to our family swim this morning- hope your proud of yourself!!! Myself and my partner took our 3 excited children to Hilsborough and in the commotion of getting them ready and into the pool, I either left my boots and partners trainers in the cubicle or in an unlocked locker. After the swim on emptying the locker found they were missing:cry:. I immediately got dressed and went to reception expecting that someone would have handed them in- how wrong you can be! To cut a long story short, the duty manager and staff were very helpful in trying to find them genuine thanks to them:) but it soon came obvious that they had been stolen. So we enventually went out barefoot into the wet, cold carpark and home:mad: Can't believe how low some people can stoop. Myself and my partner both work hard for what we have for ourselves and our children and thats what you get some scrubber who can't be arsed to work and just takes what they want- marvellous:mad::mad:
  6. Hi Smythe74 My friend lives near Gleadless Townend so that end of town if possible but if it is tram or bus accessible that would be ok. Thanks
  7. Hi there, my friend is looking for a venue to hold an 18th birthday party for her daughter on either 30th Dec or 7th Jan. Must be somewhere that lets you do your own food. any suggestions please.
  8. Just wear a baggy t-shirt or cheap nightie from Primark. Whatever you wear you want to be comfy and you will probably encounter some form of mess (won't go into details). So the cheaper the better and then if it gets in state you can just bin it! Good luck:)
  9. Gutted, my 'better half' got a fine from there after a night out a few weeks ago. He paid up straight away, wish I'd seen the posts from people saying they just threw the letters in the bin and got away with it! Oh well you live and learn!!
  10. Rodger, Rodger he's our man if he can't do it no-one can!! Just won't be the same place without him.
  11. Crystal Peaks Market, the stall that sells school uniform. Good price and quick service.

  13. Yes its a series on ITV2 based on the books of the same name I think, although I must confess I haven't read them and yes it is similar to Twilight. It's fab, def worth a watch!

  16. My Dad is a bus driver and tries not to be miserable but most people don't actually realise what a stressful and mostly THANKLESS job it is. The shifts are are long and can be inconsistent ie. some mornings he has to get up at 3.30 a.m the following day could be 6.00 am and the one after that could be 4.30 a.m, thus making it really hard to establish a resonable sleep pattern. He often suffers abuse from passengers about being too late or too early but the schedules they have to run to are mostly unrealistic especially at peak times and do not allow for extra traffic, bad weather, accidents etc. He has been threatened and had money stolen, and on late night shifts often has to put up with drunken verbal abuse and people being sick. The buses are often too cold or too hot and when they break down can be stranded for ages as radios don't always work. I could go on and on about all the negative points but wont. So taking all this into account and the fact that he has to work 6 days a week to make ends meet would you be happy and smiley all day long- I think NOT!!!!!
