  1. I have tried ebay but sometimes with packaging I thought it might be just as cheap to buy local - easier to take back then.. Lindix - is Arco the one just off the parkway? DO they sell items to the public? V.Rossi, thank you for your kind offer but I am actually a chef I have endless mountains of jackets but nothing that resembles a lab coat Yep, tried Nisbets - the only one they have is of very poor material quality.. I agree with you on the Russums front - they're the reason I'm on here searching for one frantically Chem1st - do you mean inside the hallam shop on the ground floor? Thanks guys, you've been most helpful
  2. As the title reads. Preferably a womans lab coat but not massively important. I've already been to Russums Thanks
  3. Where in Sheffield is there a large selection of mattresses on display?
  4. hi sancocho10, I've never seen him before despite me being in town almost everyday. For people reading this thread I think the term "walks very slowly" is an understatement. It must take him hours to walk a few yards! I could just imagine him being very independant and I'm sure if a young woman asked if he'd like any help he'd have told me to shove off. I can just imagine the youths in town heckling him or taking the proverbial. If it is the case then it is such a shame that he has to balance his independance with harrassment.
  5. Ooops! Mods -can you change the month in the title please? It was May!
  6. 12 MAY 2011 I was in town yesterday - walking round the corner of Fargate where Boots is when I saw a very slow walking man. He was of a big build, heavily slumped forwards with two walking sticks, his dark hair covered his face, tan mac and walked extremely slowly. He was propping himsef up against the wall of Boots as he dragged his legs along. Holding a very old and dirty bag in one hand. Does anyone see this man regularly? Before anyone says, 'why didn't you help him?'... What does one say? In what way could I, or anyone, have helped? Other than posibly a wheelchair. I've not stopped thinking of him. Can't explain why, but I'm just intrigued to know if anyone knows anything about him? Where is he from and why was he alone?? I don't think he is homeless, despite looking unshaven and unwashed.
  7. Looking for some ivy garland. Or faux greenery. In Sheffield. Ideally not from a florist
  8. I agree with Womerry2 - Get her on the computer. My mum is a comlplete technophobe but now I literally can't get her off facebook! She's found old friends and recently figured out how to use the chat box! Where abouts in Sheffield are you? Near Meadowhall there is a spiritualist church - I can recommend it as a place to meet new people. A friend on mine goes almost every night now. Easy accessible by the tram. Also, local libraries put on lots of actvities she may not be aware of. http://www.eventsheffield.com/ Rock up to a zumba class... ? Line dancing? Pick up the star too... lots of activities in there
  9. As the title reads. I'm not a complete beginner - did at school and picked up a bit on my travels. parlez vous Francais?? S'il vous plait aider! I would prefer a weekly evening class that gives lots of support and learning materials or exercises. If anyone can recommend one and a rough price you paid?? Merci! xx EDIT: Actually, I think I would like a beginners class! It's been a while!
  10. I want a wig for a fancy dress party. Any colour but must be passed shoulder length. Preferably wavy or straight - not curly. I've tried the fancy dress shops but they're a bit expensive.. Does anyone know if somewhere in Castle Market sells them and roughly how much? Or anywhere in sheffield? Thanks
  11. No it's not for a charity event so I doubt the banks would help - I'd also quite like to keep it. Will try Pinders and Minuteman Press! Thanks!!
  12. As the title reads. I want one of those giant cheques that people use at events... Although I was rather hoping they came in a range of sizes rather than just HUGE lol I've found a few companies down in London but postage and package is sky high as it seems most people collect from the printers. I'd also like to use a company in Sheffield so I could go to the office to see a sample and discuss things. Thanks!
  13. facebook. Also, maybe search the deaths registered with Sheffield - unfortunately he might not be with us anymore he may, have gotten recently married. Search the marriages whilst you're at it. orrr... maybe he's had another baby.. search the births registered with fathers called Shaun Pinder. Good luck
  14. Long story short - looking into a dance performance with a Michael Jackson theme. Our first hurdle is finding someone to help us put together a dance routine that has a definitive MJ style. Are there any dance schools/teachers in Sheffield or even the Yorkshire area? Anybody been to a class? What was it like? Thanks
