  1. The Citizencard that the gov rolled out as a cheap form of ID is also a failure - along with the provisional license it seems!!!
  2. I actually already have a driving license and have done for many years now but wanted to know about the validity of a provisional as it's a cheaper alternative to a passport for I.D (for my sister).
  3. If so, can you look at it and tell me when it expires? I've googled and found conflicting answers that says two years and until your 70th birthday. I think the latter is correct and people are confusing the two years with how long your theory test pass certificate lasts. Please can someone confirm. The direct gov website sucks
  4. Welcome to Sheffield, Virkelig. I see those pesky Londoners have been talking rubbish again. As mentioned - the majority of Londoners don't know where Sheffield is, even with a map. It's highly likely that they think us Northern folk still use telegraphs and work the farms. I'm a recent graduate of Sheffield Hallam. Anything you need, drop me a private message and I can point you in the right direction.
  5. I went to Dev chippy a few weeks ago during the day time. It's owned by a very rude asian lady who was NOT happy to see environmental health stood in the doorway. Me and the OH tried to listen in on the convo (as you do) but couldn't tell what was being said... although I'm pretty sure it wasn't "you're doing a great job, carry on!". Needless to say, we put down the chips and went to subway.
  6. The church on Clarkson Street - near to Upperthorpe roundabout, sheffield uni buildings and the hallamshire hospital is now a drama building for students
  7. Yes I've rang numerous times inbetween half ten and 12 like it suggests on her website. I've also sent an email to which I got an automated response and nothing else. That was over a month ago. Pretty soon I'll have to find someone else because they'll be going out of date!
  8. I have another batch of catfood to donate and after having C.A.T.S suggested some time ago on this forum (by Rain Rescue I think) I've tried to get in contact with them but to no avail. I'd just drop the batch off but there is no address listed on the site and not sure if anyone would be there. Anyone here have regular contact with Jackie or can PM me the address?
  9. @vix got your pm and tried to reply but your inbox is full xx
  10. It's in Lloyds. It's the one opposite the old RSVP bar. There's steps leading up to it and is part of the whetherspoon chain. It stands alone. Does this help? X
  11. @oldog yeah I've tried ALL my local shops. Even the polish store. Didn't list them as wasn't sure people would know what I was on about. I'm not sure where S7 is? I've been looking again today and phoning shops nearby but obviously once they've sold out they can't really see the need to order in anymore once halloween has passed. I'm about to try Tesco again as when I tried before they said they may have some on today's delivery
  12. @stonecircle - thank you! @fredsredhat - are you sure? I called them and they said not?! @sheffgrow - I'm well aware of that. In fact, that's why I want one. To make risotto etc but everyone has bought them to carve. I've tried all shops in my local area - tesco x3, asda x2, londis, morrisons x2 etc
  13. I know it's gone Halloween but if anyone knows of anywhere selling pumpkins today then that would be great! I live in S6 Thanks!!
  14. Please note - The link posted above is NOT THE PHOTOGRAPHER I am referring to in this post. As the OP I can safely say that there will be a local photographer in Lloyds bar (next to the City Hall in Barkers Pool) for the duration of the graduations offering professional prints. No need to book, just pop along.
  15. The jellyfish are UPSTAIRS in the Oasis - across from the cinema and the Handmade Burger Co. It's a new thia restaurant. Chaobaby!
  16. For some reason I can't view all of these. Sad face. I shall be making mine tonight!
  17. There was police there at 1am, but on the roundabout and the team lines. There was also a 4x4 owned by super tram. Wondered if something had happened under the bridge ..
  18. @Ria There's not much to see anymore. You can view the street via google maps - will save you the trip lol!
  19. My mum lives on Adlington Road and she has never had any problems despite the banter. The cres has lots of kids on it - and the kids from the area tend to congregate on it but they're of little trouble really. The ride their bikes etc and you get a few people using the houses to get onto the back of (what used to be) Chaucer shops.
  20. Heya, yes it's still running.. It's on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. The beginners salsa class is FREE 7:30-8pm. 8-9pm - beginners rueda 9-10pm - improvers rueda £3 for one class, £5 for two. There are many other classes in Sheffield if you can't make weds, just let me know and I'll try to help!
