  1. I've seen elsewhere that a cat was injured in the road on Rother Valley Way (S20) late on Easter Sunday / Monday morning. I've spoken to the council and they have not collected it. Local vets also do not have it but it isn't there now so I'm just wondering did anyone see / move it? I think it might be my cat and would like to know where it ended up if possible.
  2. It was still like an ice rink yesterday lunchtime as were all the paths, cars weren't struggling too much but the state of the car park is appalling, especially as I went to asda and they've totally cleared theirs and most of asdas is flat compared to Peaks Sainsburys.
  3. As far as I am aware they get the 15 hours the term beginning AFTER their third birthday, so he wouldn't get the 15 hours til after Easter.
  4. Is there anywhere in town that does uniform other than Marks and Spencers? I cannot think of anywhere else? Pinders uniform is not as good quality as the school bought uniform, I bought one set from Pinders (badged poloshirt and sweatshirt) and they have not washed and dried as well as the 2 sets I bought directly from the school. I only bought one set to try them out to see if it was worth the few pounds I saved but I won't be going back for anymore.
  5. Yes I noticed the other day, as if the roundabout isn't busy enough at the best of times and now there are conflicting lane markings and signs.
  6. I figured it was 30mph, I stick to 30mph the 3 times I drive it every day, doesn't stop some people driving up my rear end though, still their speeding fine not mine! Also there is a crossing patrol at the time I travel and lots of kids around so 30mph is a very sensible option.

  9. I did this last week, got off at Manchester Piccadilly, it's only about 10 mins walk on the flat to get to the MEN from there. It is signposted. There are no trams running, there were loads of little shuttle buses but we didn't bother it was easy to walk.
  10. Yes there has. I presume you have heard by now if not let me know.
  11. There's not much you can do with them because they aren't properly enforced but it does really annoy me too. People without kids just don't see how difficult it is to get a baby into a car seat with 6 inches of door space and are probably the people moaning about the bangs on their cars when they park too close. They never used to have parent and child parking because child car seats were not law, it is almost impossible to get a child / baby into a car seat without fully opening the door and risking banging the door onto other cars. I have to open my door fully and physically get into the back of my car because I have to get my youngest son who is 2 into the middle seat of my car to get him into his forward facing baby seat which just cannot be done any other way. Anyone who thinks parent and child spaces aren't needed is welcome to try getting my 3 kids into my car without opening the doors fully in a big parking space! All it takes is for people to think for a second WHY they make these spaces before they start parking in them without small kids. I don't need a space near the door, I have legs and can walk it's only about the width of the parking space. A child in an internal harnessed car seat I would say is the cut off point for age wise, so upto age 4, if I take my almost 8yr old and 6yr old without the baby I don't see the need for parking in PACS so don't, they can get in and fasten their belts on their boosters.
  12. How old is the Zafira? We were looking at one and tried my boys 3 seats in the back which are 2 britax hi liners and a britax rennaissance, they fitted fine but it was an 07 reg. There is a bit in the car seat regulations that state if 2 seats are fitted and there is no space for a 3rd then they are exempt but I would never consider it for my child.
  13. jessops in meadowhall do them with a guaranteed passport acceptance service. (think they will retake it for free or that was the deal at the time if your passport is returned) was £5 for 4 pics. they took all my kids photos and not one was refused by the passport agency, one child was only 3 months at the time.
