  1. I don't know where I could have been without them. Only negative is when they discharge you I found I had to fight to keep on getting some kind of support via nhs professionals.
  2. no way - we had our holiday place refurbed at the beginning of this year. Was amazed when the builder didn't ask for a penny up front and when I questioned him about it he said trust is a two way thing. If I paid anything it would be only for the materials which would be understandable. think he's trying to pull a fast one! have you got any recommendations for him?
  3. I just bought a kitchen fire blanket on the web via Amazon
  4. Who else is planning a visit to the coast next weekend. We're off to our place at Filey and if its like this weekend has been it'll be gorgeous.
  5. don't think anyone really knows - just have to wait and see and x fingers & toes
  6. I've got no sympathy for her - IMO journalists are just parasites with everything she's been charged with surely there's got to be something in it. hope she has as many sleepless nights as the people who've found out their phones have been tapped
  7. difficult situation its your word against his. have you seen this GP before? Rather than going in all guns blazing perhaps you ought to see speak to the Practice Mgr asking to see a different GP at the practice and explain your reasons for requesting this. it'd be your word against his and may be best not to use formal approach of writing in the first instance and give practice a change of remedying the situation!
  8. absolutely love Northumberland and Holy Island is a brill day out. Here's a link to a place where we stayed a couple of times http://www.northumberlandpotterycottage.co.uk/ its absolutely lovely and you get to use the swimming pool and other leisure facilities on site. If visiting the area personally wouldn't stay on Holy Island if you wanted to see other things in the area as its not particularly central for sightseeeing. Bamburgh Castle is also really good to visit.
  9. wow a lot of assumptions there and quite harsh statements to make unless you've got evidence to back your comments up. Would guess it would be in the Portugese interests to close this case - who'd want that happening in their back garden so to speak!
  10. for motivation I'd recommend exercise. Have suffered from depression/anxiety myself and its something I'm always aware of. When I have a drop in mood exercise always helps - needn't cost you anything. for concentration yoga - its amazing how much you have to concentrate on the poses and is good for the body as well
  11. I've suffered from them over the years and it can be very scary. I wouldn't go onto medication for them straightaway without doing a bit of self help first. Am sure there will be info on the web to help you but its a matter of controlling your breathing which in turn stops the heart racing away. Its amazing how many people do or have suffered from them and this in itself gave me comfort. Yoga also helps me. Hope you feel better soon
  12. Went last night for the first time in 20 odd years. Was a really nice night to make it even better they were doing hot pork sarnies, roast potatoes and pie & peas. We had to have two lots of the sarnies they were so good and very reasonably priced. Will defo be visiting again:)
  13. have nearly done the same myself loads of times - fingers crossed that the person behind you was an honest soul and did the right thing but wouldn't hold too much hope for that, just a lesson to remember for the future
  14. Angel no idea whether you have children but from this post I'm guessing probably not. As a parent the horror of not knowing what has happened to your child is something I'd rather not think about and feel sorry for anyone who this has happened to. You may be right but as a parent just to know what had happened and to know where they are I would think would give some peace. Most parents want the best for their child even though it might be difficult for them and am sure that if this was the case for Kerry she would step away but finally have some peace of mind and be able to enjoy her own life a bit more
  15. just hope you didn't have need to use the wc
  16. ours packed in last year. hubby found info on the web about how to fix - needed a new element. Got part from Sissons for £35 and sorted it
  17. thanks have managed to find it. seen a couple of names i recognise
  18. Long time coming but my daughter got married there last year, superb!
  19. just had a look on Facebook and page I looked at didn't have anything on it. Can you put a link on?
  20. work it out for yourself there can't be many Sheffield curry houses that moved last year - on the same road just down the hill!
  21. Visited a well known city centre curry house last night. Meal was fine but then I had need to visit the loo all I can say is that I won't be going there again as I firmly believe that a clean loo = clean kitchen. This particular restaurant recently moved premises I think around September last year. Toilets in last building weren't very good either but gave them a bit of lee way on this but would have thought brand new restauraunt would need lots of income and therefore cleanliness would be a number one priority but apparently not! Luckily not suffered any ill effects from the food but won't be chancing it again!
