  1. As i said previously, the insinuations listed above hold no worries for me, what is the saying ............. that which does not kill me makes me stronger:hihi:
  2. I applaud your optimism, but fear you are sadly wrong, i cannot see any diplomatic end to this conflict, only force will be the answer to this, and once the likes of Bin Laden sees any cracks in the resolve of those opposed to him, he will exploit it with a vengeance, seeing it as a weakness. Do you think the troops pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan would see an end to hostilities?, hardly, it would simply be handing power to the extremists, allowing the destabilising of the region.
  3. By all means feel free to start one, allow me to research the subject, and comment on it.
  4. Many a pleasant evening was had in my youth, playing the age old game of town versus gown, particularly after a saturday night drinking, and baiting the students.
  5. Priority to those born here, regardless of afflictions, never one to be accused of discriminating against the disabled. Please feel free to find anything i have ever said on here that shows i have any alleigance with the Nazi party, for gods sake, i even watch jerry springer.
  6. Immigration adds to an already struggling social housing stock, that should be plain to all to see, to claim otherwise is simply idiotic.
  7. Personally i believe it was a mixture of military and diplomacy, mixed with a realisation that there was no way out for anybody involved, that caused the cessation of hostilities, coupled with a realisation that the "troubles" were bad for business for all concerned, diplomacy gave them an easy out, now the image of Adams and Paisley cracking jokes is one that im sure many in NI thought they would never see, but if you think that we are likely to see anything similar with Bush, McCain or Obama sharing afternoon tea with Bin Laden, then you have grossly underestimated the strength of feeling from Bin Laden and his followers, the only end to this will be when Bin Laden and his ilk are eradicated from the face of this earth, and even then there will still be a significant risk from others, the only diplomacy Bin Laden wants is when the west gets down on its knees and prays to mecca.
  8. Most, if not all, housing developments nowadays have to include a substantial % of social housing, so the social housing stock is on the increase, all of which is by the by, because, as has been shown in this thread, councils can use private housing for tenants requiring it, the problems lie in the estimated number of houses needing to be built to house the projected population increase, and has already been shown that house building is already behind the estimates needed, and likely to fall further behind during the recession, whereas i have yet to see anything to suggest that population projections are to be revised downwards, leading to more immigrants being housed in preference to our own population.
  9. Lets not kid ourselves about NI, the underlying resentment is still there between some, but for many, the reality was simply that they could make more money from going legit, something similar to what has happened with the mafia.
  10. A gardener has been ordered by council chiefs to remove three foot high barbed wire ringing his allotment - in case thieves scratch themselves climbing over it. Bill Malcolm, 61, took the drastic step of installing the wire in a bid to prevent burglars raiding his tool shed and ransacking his vegetable plots. Intruders have struck three times in four months, stealing more than £300 worth of hardware, including spades, forks and hoes as well as destroying his potato patch. The fed-up gardener surrounded his 600 square yard site in Worcester with a single strand of barbed wire, which stood no more than waist high. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1075809/Gardener-ordered-barbed-wire-fence-case-thieves-hurt-it.html Its time we stopped worrying about the criminal, and protected the victims.
  11. After reading some of your posts on other threads, are you sure you have had no detrimental effects from your central heating system, i suppose that if the air vent is fitted, and your threads return to something akin to normality, then we can only conclude that the gas man was correct:hihi:
  12. Agreed, but it is a grey area, and one that has yet to be proved either way, i was using info on the BBC website in good faith.
  13. Being (till recently) a labour voter, i suppose i do have some socialist leanings, but the social housing issue? we wouldnt need such a massive house building programme without the mass immigration we have already faced, and projections show we are yet to face, yet we are already facing a shortfall in the number of house being built in relation to those required, further adding pressure to the existing housing stock.
  14. If wanting better treatment for our own makes me a socialist, doesnt that make socialists racist, using the same arguments used by others, this could get confusing:hihi:
  15. The info i gave is on the same web site, but the info you have given shows he was also using counterfeit stamps on his passport, another offense?
  16. It worries me not one iota whether people class me as nationalist, patriot or racist, nothing will change my opinion that immigration is ruining this country, and thank god that papers do publish these stories, and long may they continue to do so, so that the general public will see quickly the problems we are facing, and the impending recession (depression?) will allow people to realise what a mess the govt have made of immigration to this country. If others wish to pigeonhole me, so be it, class me as you wish, i will wear whatever term i am called with pride, as it proves to me that i am right and they are wrong.
  17. I quote from the BBC and the Home Office, can i ask where your info came from?
  18. Forewarned is forearmed, standing at the urinal and turning around still zipping up to find an elderly woman with mop and bucket was slightly unsettling to somebody not used to the cosmopolitan life in London, being used to the sleepy city of dreaming spires, known as Oxford.
  19. And as someone who would prefer to see our own (white, if you must) population get treated better than immigrants, then yes i must be a racist, so what? that reference holds no stigma anymore anyway, if wanting better treatment for our elderly ahead of immigrants makes me a racist, then yes i must be a racist, if sticking up for our own people, wanting better treatment for them makes me a racist, then yes i am a racist, and in this case, if that is what makes one a racist then let me say loud and clear, I AM A RACIST, AND PROUD TO BE SO.
  20. Maybe because of this? The Home Office said Mr Menezes had been granted entry to the UK for six months as a visitor on his arrival on 13 March 2002. He then applied for leave to remain as a student, which was approved. He was granted leave to remain until 30 June 2003. The Home Office says his visa expired at that time and that he remained illegally in the UK until his death. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5173032.stm
  21. I would still buy the same paper i always do, regardless of the headline, as for a backlash, just wait and see, eventually the govt will not be able to sweep under the carpet the problems immigration is causing, and the floodgates will open, then you will get your backlash.
