  7. We stopped at Centenary Way in Filey last week so half way between Brid and Scarborough. It was only £15 per night (5 person tent, with two adults and one child). The site is 10 min easy walk from Filey beach and another 5 min into town. It was a nice, clean quiet site. We want to go back for longer next year. No website, but more info if you google 'Centenary Way Filey'
  8. I'm not sure about the top car park, but the 'no parking on the grass' signs were there and very easy to see on Sunday. Not sure what happended between then and Tuesday. As other's have said on a busy day there isn't enough car parking at the park, but there is plenty of on street parking within a couple of minutes walk of the park.
  9. Just to let you know fallen angel that Santa has seen this. Well my friend who is the guy inside the costume at the museum this year. He's well chuffed with the nice thread, thanks guys.
  10. They sometimes have a timed task for the group, if they do, offer to act as the group timekeeper, have a stop watch and keep advising how long you have to the end of the task. They like people that are aware of the external factors such as time.
  11. The last couple of times I've used http://www.etyres.co.uk Ordered one day, came the next to fit at work.
  12. If they are a true friend you will be able to sort it out. If it has gone beyond that, then perhaps they were not the friend you thought they were. And though hard it will be better to move on without them.

  15. Like speeding though it's only £60 and three points if you decide to accept the fixed penalty. It can be declined and you can always opt for court.
  16. They have to notify you within 14 days, the date of the offence is Day zero, Assuming it was the Sunday 18th, they had until Sunday 1st to serve (assuming it is you car and address on the V5, if not they have longer). Have a google for PePiPoo for some useful info if you do get something through.
  17. Thanks for the link. I always worry about making posts if there is nothing to support it.
  18. Speaking to a colleague at work this morning; somebody was shot in that area last night. I have no other information than hear say. Hopefully it is not fatal if it is indeed a shooting.
  19. It was quary tiles. We have them in the kitchen so the area gets a lot of use. They have been down a couple of years with no problems so far.
  20. We had a similar problem. Onto the normal floor boards we laid plywood sheets and the laid the tiles onto them. So far no problems. I can't remeber how thick the ply was but you do need a reasonable thickness to create a solid base and stop lifting and cracking.
  21. We went down to Looe last year with our 10 month old. We got up at 3:30am and put the little on in the car and set off at 4, he slept through until his usual getting up time of 8 when we had reach the Cornish border the just had a leisurely day until we could get into our accomodation. Did similar coming back, put him in the car at his bed time then drove all the way back with him asleep, then put him in his own bed.
