I will also hillsborough arena, you can do your own catering, it caters up to 200. They really do look after you without it costing the earth.

Well I think the trim trail will be a fantastic addition to HASA, I think they are doing a really good job in maintaining the facilities. As far as the all weather pitches are concerned it may need extensive maintenance however this cost thousands of pounds to replace. As a whole I think HASA is a facility which is of benefit to the community, yes the kids play on it but that is far better than them causing problems in the park, on street corners etc.

The residents association cannot make HASA staff do their job, however they could have a meeting with the committee expressing these concerns. This could be done through the residents association. Which I feel would be a positive way forward. But knowing the state of area when the area was derelict the the present situation must be better.

Hillsborough is not nice to go out in. The shaky is ok and that is it. Will be glad when wetherspoons open. As long as they are particular to who they let in.

Hillsborough corner needs sorting it is a complete eyesore. No more charity shops, card shops Italian restaurants and estate agents. Hillsborough has a great shopping area if there were less of the above. It would be nice to have a marks and Spencer, a deli and bring a variety to Hillsborough

You all seem to have these concerns about HASA, the way it appears to be run etc, my suggestion is you approach the Hillsborough Residents Association who I know have had similar concerns regarding the trim trail. Why don't you attend their meetings which I think are held on the first wednesday of each month at HASA. You could check the website out. As far as the issues regarding the running of HASA such as the state of the pitches etc you need to arrange a meeting with the committee to air your concerns. I think it is good you are airing your concerns however you could be more proactive about these things by actually attending such resident meetings etc

I have just moved from south side to hillsborough and yes things are cheaper at the north side.

Hillsborough arena charge 28.00 for 5 a side pitches. Its based middlewood road end of the park. 50yards from tram and bus stops. Parking plentyful and there is a bar, and fab changing facilities. tell 2335310

Sheffield colligate cricket club based at abbeydale sports club. They run micheal vaughns cricket acadamy on fridays and they do have junior teams. For further information you need to go to the website. the name you need to look for is andy leiper. failing that you could leave a message on their message board.

I highly recommend sheffield rugby club based at abbeydale. The mini and junior coachers are the best. Mums there are really friendly and you could make some good friends and have a fab social life. the contact name is glyn chandler and you can find his number on their web site. For rugby league try hillsborough hawks. They train on a tuesday night at 6.30pm and matches tend to be played on sundays. There are quite a few who travel from the south side of the city to the north. Again contact numbers will be found on the web site of this club. Tigers rugby club I have no comment to make.

I will reccommend abbeydale squash club you get the gym and squash, but they also have a members bar as well. really socialable bunch. Otherwise try greaves tennis club though not sure if they have squash facilities.

Hi sheffield colligate cricket club based at abbeydale sports club is always encouraging new players for their teams. (This is micheal vaughns old cricket club). The teams there are a good bunch well worth giving them a call. I also endorse baldocks at woodseats, castle markets are very good, I have only recently moved to hillsborough but I will check at the fish monger there, as I do not always like buying fish from supermarkets. .

The drinks are mega expensive and both whitley hall and Macdonald st pauls and what a mouth full macdonald st pauls. Whitley hall very nice but the rooms to stay are mega expensive. For a single room for 1 night, with wedding party discount cost £75 the room was ok and the breakfast was only ok to. Tankersley manor was really nice.
