aye - because if it was a mobile speed gun, they are legally obliged to inform you that speed camera's are operating in the area at elast 200 yards prior to the camera...(not too sure on the specifics of the distance...)
Completely wrong. They do not have to have any notification of cameras at all.
From the Department for Transport website
What is the law governing safety cameras, speed limits and safety camera signs?
The law does not require drivers to be warned about the presence of safety cameras. However, the Government wants drivers to know both the speed limit on any given stretch of road, and also that camera enforcement is taking place.
Drivers sometimes think that a speeding penalty is not valid if the route is not signed correctly with safety camera warning signs. This is not the case. The only signing that is required in law for a speeding offence to be valid is that the speed limit of the road must be properly signed. The placing or visibility of speed camera warning signs has no bearing on the enforcement of offences detected by safety cameras and does not provide any mitigation of or defence for an alleged speeding offence.

Golden Valley at Codnor / Ripley just outside of Derby is brilliant for children

I appreciate that its not Sheffield but there is a very nice selection at a place called CE Gifts in Hebden Court on Matlock Street in Bakewell http://www.cegifts.co.uk and you can buy online.

The best childrens party I have seen around this area was at the Butterfly House in North Anston. Their oraganisation of the day and the activities were faultless.

Have none of you got a camera so that you could help us to really understand the terrible distraction you are suffering ?

Golden Valley is very nice and peaceful http://www.goldenvalleycaravanpark.co.uk and there's a good video about the site on the website. My children are 4 and 7 and they love it there.

Buses 23, 23a and 23b all run from Sheffield Interchange to Dinnington Interchange. There are then loads of buses to Worksop but I think that they are all with Stagecoach (19, 19a or 19b) or possibly TM Travel

What got my back up more than anything was the arrogant condascending attitude of Margaret Beckett who sat there looking so smug with herself whilst she tried to talk down to the audience as though they were all 3 year olds!

I had one waiting for me when I got up at 6.00 am (Lakeland Drive area) but couldn't tell you what time it came. They'd have needed charity if they had woken me up at 5.00 am though !!

The food concession at Dobbies Garden Centre at Barlborough does absolutely fantastic pies - I think its called Meadowfresh butchers

I think you need to get a different hobby as I can't really see collecting photos of adverts taking off that much !! :hihi:

In my opinion Bruges and Ghent (also spelled Gent) both knock the spots off Brussels as a place to visit for a few days. However if I had a completely free choice I would go to Berlin - having worked there for several years, I would have to put it as my favourite city in Europe with plenty to do to keep you occupied for a week. Ryan Air fly from Stansted to Berlin Schonefeld for around £100 return.

We took our 4 and 6 years olds to Wokmania Chinese Buffet on west Street a few weeks ago and they loved it.

I am looking for a Seasonal Pitch for our caravan for the summer. Ideal location would be between Lincoln and Skegness / Mablethorpe. I would like childrens play area and space for riding bikes, and fishing / swimming would be great but not essential. If anyone can recommend any decent sites to me I will be very grateful. Many thanks

Mrs JTC has a Renault Grand Scenic and we have 2 child seats on the back seat which still give room for an adult to sit between them. There is also the extra row of seats in the boot for when grandparents visit. She has the 1.5 Dci which frankly is a little underpowered but still give 50 mpg and road tax is about £120 if I remember rightly.
Where can I buy Royster's Bubbled Crisps?
