Car thermometer hit -18 at Todwick Crossroads at 7.00 am this morning, and -16 at Junction 33 of the M1.
-
The Baulk in Anston is extremely bad at the moment, cars are just sliding all over the place as they try and come down the hill
-
These are 2 separate accidents - the fatality was on the M18 junction 3.

Time for a nationalised or non-profit making or charity based provider I think

They also have Antoine De Clevecy Champagne 75cl Save £18.00 was £29.99 now £11.99. Not tried this one though .......... yet
-
Sainsbury's at Crystal Peaks have some Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top Brut 75cl Champagne down from £27.99 to £11.99. We have had it before and it is very good.

Just before most of his turkeys ?

What about it?
You seem worried about their "right to protest freely" but not about everyone else's rights to go about their daily business without interference ?
-
My bold
As opposed to letting them protest freely as is their right?
I have a question.
Will your officers be allowed to use physical violence in order to 'deal' with students who become too rowdy or say something an officer does not like?
What about everyone else's right to freely use the streets and travel through the City Centre ?
-
South Yorkshire Police are currently dealing with a student protest comprising of approximately 1500 students in the City Centre, whilst the protest remains peaceful there is some unavoidable congestion in the City Centre. I will monitor this thread if anybody has any specific questions. Inspector Jayne Johnson.
I am surprised there are so many out of bed already - it's only 12.45

I have one (but only one) spare if that helps you at all

Probably explains why the police helicopter has been over Trippet Lane for the last 2 hours then.
Any ideas who has graced us with their presence ?

You could try asking at the hairdressers next to Fairway / Darkers on Lakeland Drive. She may well know of people

My daughter has had 2 gerbils for around 3 years or so. Unfortunately one of them died this morning although the other one still looks very healthy. Are they creatures that need to be kept with another for company i.e should we be looking to get another one or should we wait until the survivor pops his little clogs before getting her more ?
Thanks in advance.

No but they have come up as best for us on USwitch and Energy Helpline.
As an aside, I think that it is now time for a not-for-profit / nationalised / charity type organisation to be offered as a supplier of utilities in competition to the current suppliers. It really grinds to see British Gas announce they make £585 million in 6 months by selling what is an essential product whilst so many people struggle to pay inflation busting price raises. Another 7% rise is due next month ; anyone seen their pay go up by anything like that in the last year ?
-
its always the one behind thats in the wrong, so in this case the 1 that hit ya friend is 2 pay 4 ya friends car, an ya friend is 2 pay 4 the car they hit.....
annoying i no but the way they look at it is ya friend was 2 close 2 the car infront.
Completely and utterly wrong !! What garbage advice !!
The one who caused the accident is the one who ran into the back of your friend and that person is responsible for all damage caused as a result.

Whatever happened to good old handcuffs??!!

I really hope more cases start getting taken to court, then the companies can back track through all of the people who were advised to 'ignore' them and claim there monies.
Judge: Why did you ignore the PCN sir?
Defendant: Oh someone on Sheffield Forum advised me to do so as there is nothing they can do.
I think not
So why do you think that Private Parking Companies don't take everyone who refuses pay their worthless invoices to court ? Is it :-
a. They just can't be bothered
b. They are far too nice
c. They know that they will lose
-
To the people advising to ignore these invoices, you do know there have been people taken to court and then had to pay the invoice plus court fees?
I would pay it and take the hit, if you get took to court you will probably loose, lesson learnt next time park where you should
Apart from instances where no defence has been entered and judgement was awarded by default, I will be absolutely amazed if you can name one instance where this has happened.
Anyone who takes advice from someone who cannot even spell "lose" deserves what they get...

Bay leaf and a little bit of tarragon or basil seems to be the most popular suggestions for main courses.

And thanks for the quick responses
