  13. Can you please read before talking nonsense Your a single person though aren't you, the most likely type of person to be in poverty, even if working! £30k is what, £23k after tax. Knock off £1k for travel* to work costs. Knock off £1k for healthcare benefits. £21k. *Travel costs could be much higher, a young person could face costs exceeding £6k per annum, most of which would be paying for the legal permission to drive. The poster says they need £30k to make it worthwhile. So they want £21k in cash. What might they be getting in cash benefits? £3.7k for JSA/ESA/lowest amount of income support, £1k for council tax, £3-6k in housing costs. £4k for a kid, £3k for every extra kid. Say the poster is single and has 2 kids, that's nearly £18k. Without taking into tax credits, A £30k job would only make them £3k per year better off. ~£50 a week, for forty hours. Effectively a wage of £1.50 an hour. Not even enough to buy a pint in the cheapest pub, for an hours labour! Say they are single and get some 9k in benefits, vs a wage of £30k (£21k cash). That'd be 12k per year better off, £230 a week better off. About £5.50 an hour better off. Some 2-3 pints of beer per hour worked. If they had a car, they might only be some £3 an hour better, some 1-1.5 beer per hour. £30k is an above average salary. It'll make the worker some 2 beers better off per hour in a poor Northern town with high housing costing. In a wealthier Southern town with very very high housing costs, a worker will be some 1 pint per hour better off than dole.

  16. With the welfare and NHS system why would you need to borrow money? i been on benefit for a long time now and have never felt the need to borrow money. i dont need a 60" 3D smart TV, I ride my bike or use public transport for local journeys, My 3 kids do with tesco/asda school unifrom and its cheap as chips, they dont need designer labels If there is a problem with my car, i just google and youtube and repair it myself
  17. He has try his best and offer to pay the £250. but the customer wants more and more when does it stop? new seats as it is worn/dirty. new bonnet as it got stone chips on it. oil leak are common and expected at a car at that age.
  18. If those people are that brain dead to use those services, they deserve everything they get. whats wrong with dont buy anything you cant afford
  19. They buy car from auction or people trading in, its obvious there is something wrong with car before the seller it, why else would a sane person sell a 100% reliable car for peanuts?, the dealer has try his best to repair the car but why should he lose money on the deal because you wanted a perfect for for £1250
  20. Its a 10 year old french rubblish, what did you expect? 10 year of trouble free motoring? The car was £1350, you knock him £150 for tyres then £250 for repairs, that leave him with £900 for the car, do you think it is all profit and the car was given to him for free? since when does a 10 year old car not have oil leaks or minor problems? He has given you 33% value of purchase, and you still want more? its a old banger dont expect too much or go and buy a brand new car Are you sure you dont want your car detail and wheels reconditon as its got a few tiny marks on it?
  21. How can those less educated people from A4e tell me to look for a lesser job? it makes me laugh dealing with those dummies
