  1. I have been driving over 40 years and bet I would fail my test if I took it today based on acquired bad habits. Good luck with it all but proficiency saves lives.
  2. Her stance on Euro rebates has saved this country billions. She deserves a respectful send off. Pandering to the ignorant underclass on this occasion would be wrong.
  3. And that's what she got. A mixed bag of Barrack room lawyers. This forum is not exactly PerryMason .com but reflects street life thoughts . Turned out to be a pretty pointless, though entertaining thread .
  4. Neither, I don't even know the significance of a post count. Does it make your views more profound?
  5. What a pickle. If you don't take this person to Court they will repeat the same thing to others. If it is a business that owes you money you have a great chance of winning. If its some impecunious tenant you may still win but not get any money. You really must go to Court in person, can't you change the date? Good luck with this. Stick to your principles, you know what is right.
  6. Well, they got it. Some said you are in the right some said there is probably more to the story and some suggested that drunks don't have any rights. The OP,got sympathy, scorn and disinterest. No better off then? They would have been better off asking the Citizens advice bureau
  7. That sort of plea for advice cannot be answered on a Forum. A load of conflicting opinions don't make for advice .
  8. But of course she is not your sister or a female relation so you will not do anything about it. Nor will I. It's just an interlude for entertainment when one is not directly involved. Wallow in indignation if you wish, blustering what you might have done or do what I have done, put it down as just another incident involving a drunk. I don't actually care if the story is true or untrue, if the bouncer gets into trouble or the drunk wins or loses her case. It's just a forum soap opera and none of the posters will do anything except move on to the next posting to take their respective stands
  9. Oh no, not another assumption. How do you know she was a 'wee girl' . I assumed she was a huge tattooed lard arse but accept I could be wrong. Is 'pushing away' aggressive force? See how it's possible to build a case on emotive words which can mask reality. It's impossible for any forum member to make any assumptions as we are only presented with one side of the story.
  10. I would be proud to be labelled as anything if I could prevent more abuse against children
  11. Maybe, just maybe, if it were treated as an illness it may be possible to prevent some cases. Treating it wholely as a crime only deals with the after effects and satisfies the tub thumpers who demand retribution rather than prevention.
  12. There are many people who have been 'fiddled' with, myself, and as I recently discovered,my wife too, and two of my sisters.( all different abusers) None of us were traumatized although we have all recalled the incidents with regret but saw the unsavoury incidents as learning experiences. Hanging the perpetrators would not have made any of us feel any different. As I have grown older so too did my abuser who knew that I knew, who had to live with that knowledge every time I saw him. Should I have reported him? I guess so but I was more scared of my fathers reaction towards me than of any further occurrences I hope with all this awareness that this psychological crime be lessened and hopefully paedophiles may step out of the shadows and seek medical help before it all goes too far. With the 'Hang'em' brigade baying for their blood this will never happen. It's nothing new http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=v3S24ofEQj4&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dv3S24ofEQj4
  13. Chemical castration is very effective in these matters. However it gets a bad press but it is not such a big deal. Ask any prostate cancer sufferer if hormone treatment has affected sexual urges of any kind. You will discover than once rampant men are on these hormone drugs such as casodex all urges dissipate . There is an abundance of testosterone and other driving psychological factors which motivate sexual predators. They can be reduced but that brings us back to human rights issues.
  14. Spot on. Take note of some of the comments you dont like and adjust your story for a better chance of success because you come over as typical compo chaser. Keep us posted on any result, the law sometimes is an ass so you just might win.
  15. How are you going to move it forwards? Its such a good idea it needs a push. Mc Donald's gets business because of its free wifi and being able to take a McPee without any black looks. Surely any business that wants walk-in traffic would welcome this idea. There is a downside of course the public use of toilets for some reason leads to disgusting clean-up problems so a Business rate discount would compensate. I have never understood why public toilets suffer from such mistreatment.
