No water in Woodhouse either.

Avoid Kwik Fit, had mine recharged there a few years ago, they tested it, regassed it, I paid left and it still didn't work. Went back and the manager said it it was empty and must have a leak even though their leak test showed no pressure drop.
Bought a can from Halfords and did it myself, still working 5 years later.

Mines 30 years old and has been doing this for two weeks. I had the gas check last week and the engineer said its "kettling".
Because of scale and sludge in the boiler and pipe work the water stays in the boiler for too long and boils, then the boiler over heats and turns itself off.
And it does sound exactly like the Luftwaffe are back!

Ah the amazing Sheffield Down Memory Lane Facebook page, some good pictures on there, once you get thru all the non Sheffield related pictures.

Depends on where you lived/live. I use to live in Nottinghamshire and I still work there, the roads around there are more like racetrack smooth. You then move to sheffield where the roads have had patches of tarmac on top of tarmac it looks not like a road but top of a snickers bar. The car dances around like all 4 wheels want to go in different directions at 30mph , so Christ knows what it's like for these muppets who do +60 down deerlands and other areas of S5.
Then you have the orange sleeping police men in the road ( I smashed the engines floor on one ) by law they should be no higher than 4" of road clearance so cars can't be damaged. Now factor in either side of these the road has subsided or crumbled and now that 4" is 7 or 8" and your car scrapes over it no matter what speed you hit them. I removed the whole plastic underside of the engine bay and bumper on a non modified , non overloaded family car.
Lived in Sheffield all my life, all my journeys to work have been in Sheffield, I've driven lowered cars and they never bottomed out on anything. The orange speed bumps, or any other speed bump has never caused me any problems either.

I passed my driving test 23 years ago and I've never had any damage caused by a pot hole, what am I doing wrong?

I've used Kwik Fit, never used Hawleys...... so I'd say Hawleys are best.

Mine lasts for two weeks.

Easy job, I replaced my sons, bought one off eBay. You need to take your screen out first to find out what part number it is to buy the correct screen. They have have a part number followed by letter(s) you need to make sure you buy the exact same.
I also used a step by step guide I found I line for taking it apart.

Anyone any news on how the trams are doing at Manor Top and out to Halfway. Heard someone say they were terminating at Sheffield station, but doesnt say that on their website.
Saw a Herdings bound tram at Manor Top about 30 minutes ago, didn't seem to be having any problems.

Will the bloke with the big dog be there to "remind" you that you've gone over your 30 minutes?

Done that, it doesn't make much difference to be honest. I don't think it stops numbers calling from abroad.

I get so many I've stopped answering my phone. If any one wants me they call my mobile.
I've had virus's, won cruises, I'm owed tens of thousands in PPI claims and I even get calls for the previous owner of the number, Mr Dickinson of Maltby, could you please tell everyone you've changed your number, Cath keeps calling and she wants to know if you enjoyed your holiday.

They're all based on the best guess anyway so none of them will get it right every time. I've tried the ones mentioned but now just use the Yahoo one.

I'm on Spa Lane and haven't had any info that the scheme is going ahead. All I've seen is the proposal and maps which were sent out last March/ April. I think there was a South Eastern Community meeting at Birley School last month and the one way was going to be discussed there.

It was isolated to roughly the area covering the village, Tithe Barn, Spa Lane, Station Rd and The Angel pub according to the map on Northern Powers web site, came back on about 5:15pm.

I've been on nights in S9 and its been snowing lightly for most of the night, getting heavier now tho.

Been to one in Kent, Westwood Cross I think it's called.
Service was crap, slow and unhelpful staff, every time we asked our server for something he replied "in a minute".
When we finished... after being in there for nearly two hours, he asked us if every thing was ok, I told him no and asked to see the manager. Ended up getting the meal for half price but I got the impression they really couldn't care less.

They're out gritting, saw two earlier.

Morrisons at Catcliffe had some in on Sunday.

Very icy out there today, I thought it was just wet until I walked down my drive! Had to hold to rear wiper to walk around the back of my car, ended up sliding the car off my drive.

That's called a double back, perfectly normal for shift work. I've worked 3 shifts in the past & halfway through the week you double back onto a different shift, could be nights then afternoons or afternoons then mornings.

Last one I bought was from Apollo on Woodseats but I don't know if they're open on a Sunday.

For the woman who's got everything, I'd buy shelf to put it all on.

No pressure at all here, when I open a tap I can hear it sucking air into the tap!
