I know Northern Trains can be a bit crap, but I've never felt like throwing myself under the one I've just got off.

I'm not at home so I can't check, but Windows DVD Maker has a settings button, I think it's on the screen where you select the file you want to use, somewhere in the bottom right of the window. There's an option in there to change the screen settings.

Kwik Fit deserve their own thread!
Took mine to have my aircon regassed, I don't like using them but it was convenient on my way home from work. I sat waiting for an hour and when I left the aircon still didn't work.
Went back and the manager had a look, the system was leak free, I watched him do the test, but it was empty, meaning that the lad that did it originally hadn't gassed it at all.

It's all too easy to sit watching TV all night then come on here and say you haven't seen a gritter.
I drove home from town to Gleadless last night, every main road was gritted and I saw two grit lorries.

How do you know this
Because out the potentially thousands of people that filled up there, from the same tanker of delivered petrol, no one else has reported problems.

I've seen them out, they need to prioritise, main roads need to be done first.
Hope your husband and kids are ok.

Christa Ackroyd put it quite eloquently earlier during tonight's 6:30pm broadcast
"Snow in December? Who'd have thought it?"
I liked Harry's comment to Paul, "so what's tonight's guess then Paul?"

Just drove from Brightside to Gleadless, very slippy under the snow, take care folks, I'm off to bed!

Good shout, though the last two visible from our area were more than 4 hours before, at 17.08 and 17.17, the former -o magnitude and the latter -2, so hardly noticeable.
I've got an app that shows predictions of the flares, I did check it, I thought it showed recent past flares as well as future ones but it doesn't now.

Wilkinsons definately sell it. At the Crystal Peaks shop it's upstairs with all the kitchen bits, top of escalator, far end of second aisle on your left.

I hope you get a ticket. It's a drop off point, for dropping people off. A single car parked there can make everything grind to a halt. There's signs explaining the multi storey car park is free for 30 minutes.

Could be an Iridium Flare, that's sunlight reflecting off the solar panels on the Iridium Satellites, these are in a low orbit. They appear to get brighter and then gradually fade away, they don't move as fast as a meteor.

In my experience any warranty on a car isn't worth the paper it written on.

Try and find a Peugeot forum, some one on there will be able to help you out.

Really? That would be bloody fantastic!
But if he breaks it while doing it.....

There's a definate lull between 2:30pm and 4pm, seems to fit in with people going to collect kids from school. I've been in a few times just after 2pm, weekdays and it's not bad.

I bought and replaced a case, saw the videos too. It's a pain to do and you need to be patient and careful, I ended up ripping the top screen ribbon cable and had to buy a new screen. Managed to get it all back together but now it won't charge up and the non genuine Nintendo cases don't fit as good as the real ones do.
Good luck!

It's useless, and makes you look daft when you talk to it and even dafter when you try to impress some one with it and it doesn't work.

Don't you wrap a damp towel around your head and extract the bug from up your nose as in 'Total Recall'.
That's only science fiction, we are talking reality here!

I used my iPhone on the loo..... But I always cover the camera lens up, there's no way I'm going to let anyone take a photo of my bathroom floor!

Snow at Gleadless, settled but it's very wet stuff.

I know it was after the war, but there is still the complete wreckage of a USAF reconnaissance plane lying in a secret spot on Bleaklow above the Snake Pass. It crashed in 1947. A guy from Eckington named Daniel Staniforth has a brilliant 23 minute video on Youtube about it.
It's not complete and it's not secret I'm afraid, you can even see it with Google Earth. I've been up to it many times, the aircraft was called Overexposed and there's a plaque as a memorial to the crew.

Denlin is right, no matter how keen the police are to catch the criminals, they get let off by the courts, so there's no incentive for people to bother reporting anything be cause they already know that nothing will happen.
And if your going to patrol Gleadless Valley, why do it in plain clothes? Residents want to see a police presence, if your not seen, you appear to be not doing anything.

How can we not make it easy for a car to be set on fire?!
Will any information be acted upon or will we just get a crime number and be told we can't do anything unless we catch them commiting a crime?

Have any of you suggesting Herons read the post? Herons usually don't bother going through a hedge.
