The Pub where Marc Bolan was on the roof was the Arbourthorne. I was there too from Hurlfield School. 1971 - 1976

The Baracuda may be still there, but no where near as good as when previous owners had it. My current favourite is Becketts at Manor Top ( I know it's not Becketts anymore, but everyone still calls it Becketts lol)

I lived on Lord Row from when the were built until 71, the view from our living room window was the dog track, but I went to Wybourn school.

Hey tango2 Pond Street Nora is a blast from the past lol, i miss banners, the tubes they used to send along the pipes fascinated me, little things please little minds as they say lol. Redgates.................it goes without saying and Henderson Relish............the best.

My Saturday treat was to go on the scales, wow u bringing so many memories. My grandad used to be the landlord of the newmarket pub, just the other end of the zebra crossing from the market. The park pictures was just behind. Thanks for reminding me of happy memories

I went to Hurlfied 1971 - 1976 wasn't all boys then (cos I wouldn't have been able to go lol) but greenhough was there then.

Hey Tosh I remember Joe Lingard very well, he was a very nice man and such a charmer to the ladies. A good laugh and I was very sorry when he died. I still go in the Arundel to this day (I'm mid 40's) it's still my local,how sad am I.

Hi Just thought you may like to know that if a car is stolen, it's usually found burnt out around the fairleigh area of the Manor. It's not exclusive to Fairleigh but that's the most popular spot. I have lived on both and Norfolk Park is the lesser of 2 evils.
