  1. Does anyone know the cost of removing concrete guttering and replacing with UPVC gutters and down pipes. Just need rough estimate so i can plan to get mine removed.
  2. It,s not one of the garages the star reported on,most of them are disused and unsafe.I can see why they want to pull these down but i rent a plot of land on elstree road where there used to be old tin garages but these have long gone.I asked if i could erect a sectional garage on site and was told that they had no problem with that. They plan to make parking spots for local tenants but as most of people near me have driveways or park outside their homes.
  3. has anyone been affected by council garage plot refurbishments/Got a letter early feb saying my garage would be demolished.only problem is that the council don,t own the garage as it,s mine.letter came last week giving me four weeks notice that i had to give up my plot and my garage would be knocked down.I contacted council only to be told that they will not pay compensation for my garage. I have found out that they intend to spend thousands of pounds flattening garage, removing undergrowth and laying hardcore on a strip of land about 250 m long?? what a waste of money!
  4. Maybe they don,t care but I think it,s time people on mobile phones who are caught should have their car CRUSHED!! not just fined and given points on licence but have the car totally CRUSHED.If people knew that this would happen you would see a lot less people on the phone?
  5. just cleaned cylinder head and fitted all cam follower and camshafts but cant get valve clearances right.Checked all is tightened to correct torques but still all clearances have changed, does anyone have any ideas??? any help would be appreciated.
  6. If you put that you accepted returns then just ask for them to be returned but they must pay return postage.Did you post photos of trainers showing any marks or wear?
  7. what,s BBC? IS IT STILL ON AIR? I begin to wonder what the license is for,not for decent programs! Oh I know what it,s for,its for paying stupid salaries to presenters and sending half BBC staff to cover an event! It,s time for it to go!
  8. I know when a engine starts spitting water at me from a spark plug that somethings wrong!!!:hihi:
  9. need a mechanic to replace astra 1.6 cylinder head gasket? I think???
  10. well tried to day about appeal but told it was to do with my leg only and that I would have to make a fresh claim for my angina and emphysema.Until then I have to see a doctor to refer me to a specialist and carry on signing with jsa and tell them that I am limited to the work I can do as I am unable to carry on plastering?
  11. if you have the OS disc put that in and boot from CD,it should allow you to repair the system.
  12. take cover off leave a while and try again if still doing it oops
  13. I would have loved to be able to put 25% of my income into a pension pot, but earning average wage £180-£200 take home pay and a family to support does not allow u to do so. when I was able to put a bit by it soon disapeared just trying to keep up with prices(fuel etc).As of now im unemployed and not a scrounger.worked for 35 years all be it different jobs but I did work, but now health problems stop me doing my job(Plaster Patcher). My point is the government dont give a dam about working class ,Once in power its Im alright jack, instead of paying all this money in aid to africa(sorry for their plight) but charity begins at home, use the aid for housing and sutch instead of thinking how this country looks around the world.!
  14. that's what's wrong with this country and the government.I WOULD LIKE TO SEE JUST ONE OF THE POLITICIANS ON THE DOLE,SAME MONEY WE GET,SAME BILLS AND SEE HOW THEY MANAGE!! not going to happen but we live in hope. its all me,me,me and sod the rest of you
  15. there are sites all around Sheffield where houses have been demolished but the council get more money from developers as land is at a premium than they would if they have to build and maintain houses!
