In need of genuine realistic advice RE first come first served..

So, there are couple of 2 bed flats on first come first served with the council.

They are in low edges.

They are tempting, insomuch that they have 2 bedrooms, and 'four walls'.

Would anyone be mad to even consider there, or even gleedless valley in a maisonette, even for a couple of year stopgap?

I know the reputation of the areas.. its just.. i know the council lettings at the moment...
