Is it physically possible to type 6000 words an hour?!

Topic.

Called in at Premiere People Agency in Town earlier to see if they'd got the results of the online data entry test I did for them last week, they said my typing was good but not fast enough for a data entry job from them, my speed was 3570 words an hour and they want someone to do 6000! I'm sorry but WTF?! 6000 words an hour?! Even Data on Star Trek can't type THAT fast!:loopy:

Thing is though, I have RSA qualifications in word processing so I know I can type, in fact I was taught typing at an early age cos "they" said I'd never be able to do "joined up" writing as they called it! :loopy:

I mean OK my writing's never been brilliantly neat but most people can read it legibly enough.

Crikey, Rich......that would be a solid hour at 100wpm - your speed of 60wpm is a good speed......I learned to type at school and first used my skills in 1972 and have been typing either for a living or for pleasure ever since.....and I don't think I could reach 100wpm.....I think I am comfortable at about the same rate as you. What does this agency want.....blood!

Quite probably.

But meh, Agencies can bite me for all I care.

Most of the ones in Town have proven to me that they could no more get me a job than I could win tomorrow night's Euromillions draw! :loopy::rant:

Oh well, there's an admin job in tonight's Star I might have a go for, it's at Victoria Quays which isn't too hard to get to.
