Random Things Around Sheffield

Someone on Reddit pointed out that a billboard has been eyebombed at Heeley this week:

 

 

Which got me thinking… what random things have you seen around Sheffield?

 

Can be on signs, or elsewhere…

 

There’s Meadowhead roundabout which is famous for having random Ainsley Harriott stickers on them occasionally:

 

 

This one did have Ainsley on it, but since it got removed someone replaced it with Coronation Street’s Hayley Cropper!

 

 

Ainsley (why always Ainsley?!) was also in the window at the Rutland Arms, but more recently were replaced by Frank Sidebottom and Yoda(!)

What about this little imp(?) hidden in a tree in the Winter Gardens — seems to freak everyone out when they see it!

Seen Clive Betts twice in the area this week . Usually only see him when a vote is required .

I use to like going down down Skew Hill seeing an old Red Telephone Box in a garden. It's been there for years

Spiderman up on the old Co Op bank on West St.

There also was for a long time a "life" sized C-3PO on the rooftop of the building just across from Decathlon.

I went to a certain bar yesterday.

 

Walked in and Oliver Coppard was there. 
 

Grabbed a drink and Clive Betts was there too.

 

Quite a few others I didn’t quite recognise.

 

…Then Lord Blunkett came in shortly after.

 

I presumed it was an end-of-day gathering to celebrate the first day of the trams under SYMCA control.

 

But there is an election coming up, so maybe more to it than that? Who knows? 
 

(Or maybe they just all went out for a Friday night drink?).

 Universe Works ?  Elliot house seems bit close .

Been a while since been down the building now has a netted rooftop rec. area.

 Must be either one of the bears or elephants from the fundraisers for the childrens lurking somewhere, think whats now Foresters had one..

 I suppose the elephant on the front of the Culters hall is worth s mention
