Owls & Rivals Relegation Watch.

Recommended Posts

Tomorrows fixtures for the bottom 9 clubs. None of the bottom 9 are playing each other so invariably they are all playing teams higher up the league than themselves. Tough games for some with Plymouth and QPR having the best chances of wins I'd think. Swansea and Owls at home to top 6 sides.

Blackburn Rovers v Rotherham United

Bristol City v Millwall

Leeds United v Birmingham City

Leicester City v Huddersfield Town

Plymouth Argyle v Watford

Queens Park Rangers v Cardiff City

Stoke City v Ipswich Town

Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion

Sheffield Wednesday v Hull City

Blackburn Rovers 2-2  Rotherham United

Bristol City 0-1  Millwall

Leeds United 3-0  Birmingham City

Leicester City 4-1  Huddersfield Town

Plymouth Argyle 3-3  Watford

Queens Park Rangers 1-2  Cardiff City

Stoke City 0-0  Ipswich Town

Swansea City 1-0  West Bromwich Albion

Sheffield Wednesday 3-1  Hull City

Some decent results in there for Wednesday.

Long way to go and nothings nailed down yet, anywhere near nailed down.

QPR being the perfect example, looked like they were starting to fly the other week but have come unstuck a bit recently.

How long has Rooney got at Birmingham I wonder.

Has anyone else had a guesstimate of the points we're likely to pick up through to the end of the season? I've hade 3 or 4 passes at it now and i'm coming up with between 22 and 28 points that we'll pick up which will give us between 44 and 50 points. Of course the January window could make or break us, this is going right down to the wire I reckon.

Here's a link to the games left, miss the first one out as it's a cup game. Have a guess how many points we'll collect from those games. We can then average that out and we'll be spot on. We will then know if we're going down or not.

I'll start in my next post.

Everytime I do this I get a different result. I'll stick with this one though where I got 26 points from the remaining games, added to the 22 we already have gives us 48 points which hopefully should be enough. But not definitively.

UTO.

I get 24 points plus the 22 we already have = 46 points.

Minus the 6 points for not paying the players and or spending to much etc etc = 40 points and relegated.

😂 Only kidding.

Total of 46 points. Enough? God only knows.

Apparently not. Sacked today. Bit gutted about that really.

If I were to come up with a prediction it would be akin to the kiss of death. What I will say is that more performances of the like of the Hull match wouldn’t do our survival chances any harm. Other than beating our close competitors we need results to go for us in order to prosper, upwards and onwards. 🤞

Bad day for the owls but all is not lost, only 5 points away from safety

Its worse for Rotherham, who can only avoid relegation, if WW3 starts between now and the end of the season
