Santo
It's the right decision. The miners came looking for a confrontation and got one, if there had been no pickets there would have been no "battle". The police were only protecting themselves and local communities. Ahh of course you know the BBC showed the miners throwing stones at the police and then the police charging at them right? Did you know that wasn't the order it actually happened in? ---------- Post added 31-10-2016 at 15:38 ---------- Who is Lesley boulton? http://www.bbc.co.uk/staticarchive/96988dea674d4961b3e5d471c05469913a45472e.jpg
Randy
Did Lesley Boulton deserve what she got? She didn't get anything. She admitted herself that she was not hit by the policeman with the baton.
Santo
Presumably the one in the photo that gets bandied about out of context when she's confronted by a mounted officer. Out of context huh? Like the BBC showing the miners throwing stones before the police charge even though the stone throwing followed the police charge?

Did you know that wasn't the order it actually happened in Irrelevant. Miners turned up looking for a scrap. That's contrary to public order act 1936. If you were in that association you were commiting an offence. You didn't have to be a miner.
Randy
Out of context huh? Obelix
Out of context huh? Like the BBC showing the miners throwing stones before the police charge even though the stone throwing followed the police charge? You are aware that she wasn't actually struck right? If she had been the officer who is clearly visible and identifiable would have been prosecuted.

Because he missed because she was pulled out of the way. ---------- Post added 31-10-2016 at 15:45 ---------- You are aware that she wasn't actually struck right? Santo
Do you have any evidence to the contrary? Evidence of what? The Beeb swapping around footage? Thought that was common knowledge. Do I have evidence it was deliberate? No. But we know how the way the media reports things clouds judgement.
Obelix
Oh right - so what you are saying is that the police turned up to stop the coke deliveries and the miners wanted to let the coke wagons out. Cool.
