WestTinsley   11 #6 Posted July 24, 2016 It's changed remarkably since the early 90s. You don't see overly friendly looking women stood on every Street these days..
 Share this content via...

Marx   10 #8 Posted July 25, 2016 I was walking the dog through the estate near the Hanover Pub and came across some kind of Eid celebration taking place in the fenced-in part of the public park. The women were sat at the back away from the men and I was chastised for taking pictures.
 Share this content via...

It ain't no yuppee area tho.   It used to be like a little Pitsmoor. Saying that, that area's changed a lot since then also..  See here etc.. : http://www.ourbroomhall.org.uk Edited July 26, 2016 by WestTinsley
 Share this content via...
vincentb   10 #11 Posted July 26, 2016 Hi, Does anyone have any experience of living in the Hanover Square / Broomhall Street are of Sheffield (S3)? Particularly in regard to crime, safety, noise etc.  Many thanks  On the police website you can see the police's recorded crime stats mapped by neighbourhood: https://www.police.uk/south-yorkshire/KD1/crime/  From what I can see, from a quick comparison between residential areas close to the city centre, Sharrow and Broomhall have the higher crime rates - other areas (e.g. Lowfield, Netherthorpe, Kelham Island) have lower crime rates.  Note: as always, recorded crime doesn't always match people's lived experience of crime and anti-social behaviour, so take this with a pinch of salt. RVT1 Â Â 10 #12 Posted July 26, 2016 Thank you everyone for your help. Â I think I'll look elsewhere, which is a shame really because, as Amazon123 mentioned, the area does have some lovely old houses.
 Share this content via...
