Tomjames
IT specialist, only been doing it 4 years but have got to quite an advanced level, like the job, hate the hours (12 hour shifts) but the moneys good. Couple more years and i can afford to retire or at least work better hours or part time. As TINFOIL says "stay in school", i messed up school and it took me a long time to get back on track. I got a bunch of qualifications and followed the corporate path. Trust me It's not "all that" either. Aslong as you are HAPPY
blackydog
I got a bunch of qualifications and followed the corporate path. Trust me It's not "all that" either. Aslong as you are HAPPY I'm not. Shifts are horrible. I'm stuck with it until I can afford to take my pension in about 2 years. Then i can either do the same job with better hours or something completely different but again normal hours, as i won't need anything like the pay I get now (due to pension cushion). I'm a blade and looking at the fixtures i'll be lucky to get to 4 or 5 matches before Christmas due to weekend working.

blackydog
2yrs soon flies by so make the most, save up and enjoy retirement or a part time position and go and support Dem Blades I know your right and in 2 years i'll look back and think where did that go? Doesn't feel like it at the moment though, I constantly feel on the brink of depression, but stiiffen the old top lip. Summer hols in 6 weeks though so something to look forward to.
