Staunton
Oh dear, it seems that there is still dissatisfaction with the point that I draw to the attention of individuals following SheffieldForum. So let me revert to my initial statement, and indeed, augment it: We should not be surprises that neoliberals in Westminster and Whitehall, together with their supporters in the press and indeed here on SheffieldForum are working very hard to distract, deny, minimise and otherwise dismiss the present scandalous tax revelations (for example, the headlines on the front page of today's issue of Murdoch's The Sun proclaims 'Cheryl quits X-Factor', while The Daily Express proudly announces that Walnuts prevent heart disease and show us a full length photo of a celebrity. Note, The Sun sells over 2 million copies per day whilst The Times reaches just 400,000). It is very important that we pay no attention to their tactics, and that we bear in mind that the direct implications of these outrageous tax avoidance arrangements in secrecy jurisdictions across the globe include devastating cuts to essential services right here in Sheffield. samssong
Care to qualify that statement? Because it is rubbish. I gave you the answer , any comment?
JFKvsNixon
Speaking of comrades, I found the first paragraph a little disturbing. Close loopholes? Yes please. Globally? Of course it needs to be a global effort. Take "direct rule" over British over seas territories? Steady on jezza! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35965855 It seems like Corbyn wants to take responsibility for all of the UK's overseas territories, all of them apart from the Falklands it seems. Obelix
My point is about what could be missing, not what is already on there. A few simple questions answered and we'll know. Will we? People will ask about it, and they wont be satisfied with the answers, so they will ask more, and then they wont be satisfied with that... essentially some people are so convinced there is something goin on they are never satisfied... So no, I don't agree. Cameron has (or should have) registered what he knew on the Members Interests list, and that is that. ---------- Post added 05-04-2016 at 14:43 ---------- It seems like Corbyn wants to take responsibility for all of the UK's overseas territories, all of them apart from the Falklands it seems. Corbyn's comments are a joke. He wants direct rule? Sounds like going back to colonialism to me.
Penistone999
This could be interesting news. How much is legal, how much illegal? With heads of state involved, well I suspect a lot of tinpot dictators are going to be worried at the very least... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-35918844 Big difference between tax EVASION and Tax AVOIDANCE . This is tax avoidance , which is perfectly legal.
