smithy266 Â Â 21 #3 Posted March 14, 2016 You should be ok..... the mot pass normally takes up to a couple of days to get into the dvla system. You can get a duplicate though, from the testing station.
 Share this content via...

sgtkate   10 #7 Posted March 15, 2016 You do have a valid MOT certificate, it's just held electronically. Don't confuse certificate with 'a piece of paper' as they are not the same thing.
 Share this content via...
andyofborg   11 #8 Posted March 15, 2016 how come on checking online what you need to tax car it says you need a vailid mot certifacte?  if you cannot tax your car online because you need an mot certificate then you need to make sure that you do actually have a valid mot.  all mot's should by now be recorded electronically and if your's isn't then either the intertubes were having a bad day or there really is a problem with either your mot or the testing station. jackanne   10 #9 Posted March 15, 2016 If tax is due now you will have to tax it and then get an exemption certificate to change class to disabled. As this may take a couple of weeks to arrive it will be best to tax it now then get a refund once class is changed All this can be done on line and you do not need your mot certificate. Gordonb   11 #10 Posted March 15, 2016 Use the link below to check if you and/or any other car has a valid MOT. Very useful if you are looking to buy a car and the owner says he can't find the MOT but will send it on. http://www.gov.uk/check-mot-status
 Share this content via...
