You should be ok..... the mot pass normally takes up to a couple of days to get into the dvla system. You can get a duplicate though, from the testing station.

you do not need a MOT certificate as it stored online.most garages will give you a printed copy but they do not have to.

You do have a valid MOT certificate, it's just held electronically. Don't confuse certificate with 'a piece of paper' as they are not the same thing.

if you cannot tax your car online because you need an mot certificate then you need to make sure that you do actually have a valid mot.

all mot's should by now be recorded electronically and if your's isn't then either the intertubes were having a bad day or there really is a problem with either your mot or the testing station.

If tax is due now you will have to tax it and then get an exemption certificate to change class to disabled. As this may take a couple of weeks to arrive it will be best to tax it now then get a refund once class is changed All this can be done on line and you do not need your mot certificate.

Use the link below to check if you and/or any other car has a valid MOT.

Very useful if you are looking to buy a car and the owner says he can't find the MOT but will send it on.
