coujin
Hello, Does anybody in sheffield have the equipment to reset the airbag warning light on my 03 renault megane? It has recently failed its MoT due to this and was wondering if anybody could help me out. Many thanks, Zak
woah
If it's anything like the Clio's of the same era, maybe it's the connector underneath the front passenger seat that's come loose as that's a common problem on those. On my old Clio the light would occasionally appear, to get rid of it I would complete the highly technical task of pushing the cables underneath the seat (which are bunched together) until the light went away. Alternatively you could check the cabling yourself properly or ask a garage to do so. It may not be cabling of course but might be a good place to start... coujin
I have checked all plugs and put them back in and no change. do you know a price range for this?
Timeh
I have checked all plugs and put them back in and no change. do you know a price range for this? Get it looked at by someone who knows. An airbag warning light could point to a problem and with it being part of the safety system you wouldnt want it failing at the vital moment. spooferman
DONT do this! It sounds fishy to me. battery is disconnected for safety! als the ECU will detect connected air bags. Then reconnect the plugs under the seats,, ie the seat belt pretensioner! http://www.carsp.ca/research/resources/high-tech-vehicle-safety-systems/seat-belt-pretensioners/ if that fails, it will most likely be this part that needs replacing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-MEGANE-ROTARY-COUPLING-AIRBAG-AIR-BAG-SQUIB-1999-2002-/262015378454?fits=Car+Make%3ARenault%7CModel%3AMegane&hash=item3d01556416
