Blue collar votes.

At every turn the leave campaign is founded on lies and untruths. It doesnt surprise me that the lower working class are taken in by the rhetoric of anti-immigration, more money for the NHS and all the other lies Johnson and co peddle.

You mean the great un listened to .

One day the tide will change ,it may be tomorrow.

4% of laws last year and we had a vote on all of them.

A meaningless vote so far as the UK is concerned, as we are such a minority in the EU and mostly out-voted.

Er, not exactly.

There are some things that need to be done over multiple parliaments, and require political consensus. The building of new transport infrastructure, power infrastructure, warships, defence systems, ports, airports etc... etc...

These are just a few examples and these are the relatively straightforward ones, although still prone to meddling and cancellation for political reasons.

Our relationship with the EU and our trade relationship with the rest of the world is not something we should be leaving to the vagaries of extremely short-termist political parties. It would be a disaster.

So.

If there is a consensus amongst the people that it should be done, a consensus will naturally emerge in the main political parties.

What if the vote ends up with a 50/50 half remain the other half out. Any ideas?

No, but they formulate and agree them, then pass them to the EU parliament for rubber stamping. Cite David Cameron's negotiations to reform the EU. Agreement was reached without any consultation with MEPs. They are expected to simply pass the deal.

What!?!

They initiate ALL legislation. In principle it has to be approved by the parliament but in no sense is is not "passed" by the commission.

Multiple recounts (to minimise counting errors) until a verdict is reached, even if it ends up being by 1 vote.

[/color]I'm sick of the leave side trying to stifle our success. On the one hand you say you want a prosperous economy while on the other you say we will raise the drawbridge.

It's a ludicrous standpoint.

Most Leave supporters agree immigration is a good thing and needed for a thriving economy

The issue is in the uncontrolled numbers of unskilled EU migrants that makes it impossible to plan social services and infrastructure for the future

By all means if you have the skills we need and will make a contribution to society, you are more than welcome

Ask not what this country can do for you but what you can do for this country

Multiple recounts are carried out, how do they judge which recount is the correct one?

Will it? Anything to do with Europe is the least likely thing to lead to consensus formation in the UK. We are literally 50/50 split.
