steveroberts
When trading with other EU countries, should we be charging UK VAT at 20%?
Thorpes
If you get the customers VAT number then you do not need to charge VAT otherwise you do. Include their VAT number on your sales invoice.
andrejuan
There is also a box on the VAT return to include the figures.
Chez2
Steve - you have to take into consideration the correct exchange rate. I phoned HMRC up when we were going to be trading in Euros. Our software package was able to to most of the work as long as we entered the correct exchange rate as per HMRC. We didn't go ahead so can't remember the fine details. They were helpful on the phone though.
