Peakwalking   10 #1 Posted January 25, 2015 I wasn't really sure what mine was...until yesterday. I came across this location just by chance - it's Tumbling Hill near Grindleford. There are fine views in almost every direction...this is the view looking up the Hope Valley.  [image is on my blog - I don't think I can post photographs on here]  My walking blog: http://peakwalking.blogspot.com  Anyone else got any particular favourite view? vwkittie   10 #2 Posted January 27, 2015 Great blog and love the pics. I think my favorite view is out across the Ewden Valley and Broomhead Moor from the top trig point above Stocksbridge. It wouldn't win any prizes against some of the more famous Peak views but it's very special to me because it's local  Every time I see it I think, wow, I am lucky to live a short walk from this! vwkittie   10 #6 Posted February 2, 2015 From towards the western end of the Roaches, looking over the Cheshire plain and southwards. On a clear day you can see the Wrekin, the North Wales hills, Jodrell Bank and, I'm told, Liverpool Cathedral(s).  Definitely going to try and see this one day! scoobz   10 #7 Posted February 2, 2015 From towards the western end of the Roaches, looking over the Cheshire plain and southwards. On a clear day you can see the Wrekin, the North Wales hills, Jodrell Bank and, I'm told, Liverpool Cathedral(s).  The Roaches is a stunning place to walk, and that walk along the ridge is something else. Not only can you see all the places you have listed, but you can see 6 counties too from that point.
 Share this content via...
