Avante
We went to Silversmiths for our Christmas meal with some work associates. We would normally go to Piccolos but one of our group is Italian and didn't want to do Italian for Christmas (Fair enough!) I must say we were very impressed by the place, the staff greeted us like old friends and the food was definately some of the best I've had in or around Sheffield. Also, it's nice and close to the O2 where we went to see the Everly Pregnant Brothers, so a great night all round!!

Avante
Anywhere in Leopold square good for kids. We took ours to Wagamama which is a Japanese restaurant, they are 14 + 15 and really enjoyed it. Probably for youger ones I'd go Italian, Zizzis is a good bet, but theres also Polpolo American style or Strada for Pizzas etc. I'm sure theres something for you. Claret
Come on! Sheffield has more to offer than the mediocre chains that plague every other city! How about Cubanas? Wig & Pen? Anchorage? Another shout out for VeroGusto too. Sure it's expensive but you certainly get what you pay for.
bungleboy69
Claret, I know your well into the Sheffield food scene. What about we organise a day to try and promote eating in Sheffield's independent restaurants...
