  1. I personally wouldn't use a Julius K9 harness as it straps across the shoulders and restricts movement - potentially causing damage later in life. Look out for Y shaped harnesses such as Perfect Fit, Ruffwear and Truelove.
  2. Yes! https://www.sheffieldcheesemasters.co.uk/ Uses Our Cow Molly milk too. There's even vegan cheese https://www.hardtimesvegan.uk/ !
  3. Hi Gemma I am based in Hillsborough and offer dog sitting. I'm sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with a sitter. Take a look at my facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/Sheffield-Pet-Care-207303949873114/ - I've only been running since May but have had some great feedback. Do get in touch if you'd like any more info. Cheers
  4. I'm sorry, but i find it really concerning that a home checker for a rescue could be so wrong on this point. These gentle souls struggle to find homes as it is without rescues reinforcing the stereotype that greys are dangerous dogs.
  5. As a greyhound owner and professional dog walker, I'd be very interested in where this law you refer is! It's the first time I've heard such a thing. Our rescue greys are extremely placid, small dog-friendly and will lap up two hour walks come rain or shine. EUCLID11 Please do take a look at GRSY if you're seriously considering rehoming one of these majestical dogs! They're a small rescue run solely by unpaid volunteers who have put their heart and soul into saving as many greys as they can. https://www.grsy.co.uk/
  6. Try a julienne peeler - MUCH cheaper! It's what I regularly use. http://www.uberchefkitchenware.com/product/julienne-vegetable-peeler/
  7. Has your friend considered a cat sitter? Depending on where your friend is located I would be able to pop in for feeds/play/litter tray cleaning etc. I'm fully insured, have a clear DBS check and have completed a pet first aid course. Take a look at my website for further info and contact details. Thanks!
  8. Family dog show and fayre with fun for dogs (and owners) of all breeds. Lots of stalls including Street Dog Firepits, Faerytails (gourmet dog treats), Fat Paws collars, tombolas for humans and dogs, sausage bobbing, raffles, craft stalls and much more! Refreshments available - including vegan options. Everyone is welcome so please share and invite your friends and family along too. Sunday 19th August Opens at 11am - dog show starts at noon Centenary Hall Bateman Road Hellaby Rotherham S66 8HA https://www.facebook.com/events/230603897571357/ GRSY is a super hardworking independent rescue run purely by volunteers - which means that all donations go direct to the dogs as nobody takes a wage. Find out more here https://www.grsy.co.uk/
  9. Oh excellent! I'd been hoping that this would get approved - it will be a great addition for us! Belperite - it's going to be on Middlewood Road - opposite the park.
  10. This happens every summer - never been able to find out where the music is coming from!
  11. Hi there. I don't mean to be rude and jump onto someone else's post but as fletcher99 hasn't posted on the forum in about a year, I hope that nobody minds in this instance! I have recently set up a dog walking and pet sitting business and I have availability in Walkley. Take a look at my website for details of my services and to contact me. Many thanks Clare http://sheffieldpetcare.co.uk/
  12. I don't think Carey owned it, I think he was cheffing there. I could be wrong but I don't THINK I am.
  13. But why wouldn't you? They're ace company and love being with us. To me, it makes no sense to leave them at home!
