Serious collision on Mansfield road. All emergency services are there so it bad. Traffic backing up fast so avoid.

Yup, just seen the police van just outside the co-op at the bottom of Mansfield Road. Hope not too serious.

I heard that too but then i saw the police bike escorting the ambulance away at speed so there may be still chance everyone ends up ok.

It was a motorbike not a cycle and yes, ive just heard from a 100% reliable person that the man has died.

With that in mind ive reported the thread as i know some forums i use are big on privacy in this kind of case and they would taker the view that the family needs to know before strangers on a forum.

Fatal collision on Mansfield Road, Sheffield A collision between a Yamaha motorcycle and a Honda Civic occurred on Mansfield Road, Intake, at approximately 3.45pm this afternoon (Sunday, 19 October). Both vehicles were traveling in the direction of the Manor when they were involved in the collision at the junction with Cadman Road. The 27-year-old male motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 55-year-old male driver of the Honda sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. It is with sadness that the young man has passed away, I knew of him and my heartfelt thoughts go to his family and friends at this tragic time xx
