I am in the city centre and when these fireworks started I got the impression looking out of my window that they were going off quite close by. Maybe Fargate, Tudor Square?

 

These fireworks were unusual. An occasional firework at night in the city centre isn't unknown but this was a sustained barrage for around two minutes. Someone let of a lot of fireworks.
