jsg103
Hello, I'm travelling from Wales and wondered if snake or wood head was open today? Any ideas
ApplesPears
The Woodhead was open yesterday PM and there is no reason why it should be closed today, especially as the snow situation has improved.
bothyman
Woodhead was fine last night.
NightFlight
Snakes Pass was fine yesterday, which by inference means it'll be fine today, given that overnight temps were above freezing and there's been now further inclement weather which might cause it to be shut (by this I mean snow)

nirishandy
I can't understand why they don't drill a tunnel through the Pennines between Sheffield and Manchester, similar to the road tunnels in continental Europe! I was across that the Snake Pass recently and it was nose to tail at a couple of points. I wouldn't like to live in those congested little villages.
