Sam @ Dearne   10 #2 Posted June 18, 2012 You will get loads of 'non tradesmen' coming on saying, rip off, con man, etc... I could even name a few, but i won't.  I personally think its a good price, as always depends on the quality, but you won't know that till its done.  Its not one of my quotes is it? If so its too low, I must have made a mistake!
 Share this content via...
Sam @ Dearne   10 #3 Posted June 18, 2012 Question, what qualifies the 'family member' to comment on price are they a tradesman themselves?
 Share this content via...

dan2802   53 #10 Posted June 18, 2012 Hi I've hada quote recently for my new bathroom suite installing and other bits. Here is what will be done:  Existing bathroom suite out Existing tiles off the walls New hole to be drilled to outside for new toilet soil pipe New soil pipe fitted Old hole to be filled with mortar Toilet installed and plumbed Make walls good for new tiles (all mine are wonky) Re-plaster ceiling Remove existing shower Re-install shower in new location (its a new shower) Replumb shower modify electrics for new lighting and shower (4x spotlights) Install mirror with built in lights to electrics Install bath in new location Plumb bath and fit taps Install new sink and plumb Fit sink taps Tile all walls inc behind sink and toilet Dispose of old suite (skip included)  I think that's everything. Been quoted £2000 inc VAT. I think that's ok but a family member says not. So just wanted some opinions/thoughts.  Cheers Karl Sound like a fair price to me. Just don't pay until the job is finished and your happy.
 Share this content via...
