Huge white bird over Graves Park

Recommended Posts

OK, this is not Graves Park or even Sheffield but here are a some German websites regarding storks, see if they resemble the bird seen in Sheffield.

Its hard to tell from ground shots but this certainly looks the part. There was more out back than you get with a heron.

I saw it from directly underneath at a height of only 20 metres so it was pretty easy to see the scale of the thing.

I actually think Herons are beautiful birds , when i lived in wakefield we used to see black herons which apparently are very rare, I haven't seen this one today though , but as i pass the spot daily i will keep a lok out and see if i can get a photo.

My mum spotted a "heron" in her back garden this morning she said it was much bigger than the usual heron they look similar to a crane I believe.

She lives just down from graves.

She said "oh I saw't erron this morning" I replied who's Errin? :hihi:

I've had the same conversation with a friend of mine! I thought she said Errin!
