If you put it in first, the tea may not be quite as strong as you thought and you'd end up with what an old work colleague used to call 'maid's water' And if you're handing cups of tea round, you can't put milk in first, the recipient might want it without, or lemon, for instance. Loob, how can you not like tea ... the most refreshing drink ever in the world! You've not been trying to drink it with sugar in it, have you?
