First date in sheffield

Recommended Posts

Hi there guys, i'm having a bit of a crisis.

I am going on a (long overdue) first date with a girl close to my heart this week and i had a big romantic evening planned involving ice skating in the city centre before going for a meal on eccy road.

The problem is that i have just discovered that there is no ice skating ring this year!

I really want our first date to be special and not just go for a meal. I could really use some help as to alternatives to ice skating!!!

Thanks guys!

I would choose a tea dance In Nether Edge, and this works for me.I did take dates skating but they found the rink too cold and would not wear the little dresses which are de rigeur, prefering duffle coats and anoraks.

there is a skating rink on queens road i believe round the back of 'G' casino. it used to be called stars. i see skaters round the back of there around 8pm on friday evenings so i know it is still open. then there is ice sheffield on coleridge road attercliffe but a little way from eccy road.

enjoy!

No way! I'd planned to do exactly the same thing- mulled wine and ice skating- on a first date over xmas.

Who decided not to put ice skating in the city centre??

Although the ice rink isn't on this year, the Christmas market is: why don't you take her to the bar there for a gluhwein or two before heading down to Eccy Road to eat?

You could also have a walk around the Botanical Gardens before going to the restaurant. Why don't you take a flask of mulled wine along for a walk around the gardens? If she hasn't seen the bear pit before that'll be a treat, too!

Not that it's going to be any good to you but I'll be opening up a roller disco in Sheffield next year, looking for adequate premises now.

Try La Chambre in Attercliffe.

Actually, might be a little bit forward that 8)
