speeder
Hi, can anyone lend me a 35 or 40mm core drill, or come and put me 1 hole through a wall for washer waste.(Wincobank) Thanks in advance Andy
leelister6
You can buy one from Screwfix http://www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-tct-core-drill-bit-45mm/45971 You will need the arbor and pilot drill as well. It would probably be cheaper than paying someone
wednesday1
Or hire one from MFH on East Bank road.
earth electr
FYI I'd advise a diamond core drill, put a pilot hole through first then use a good drill on a slow speed NOT on hammer action and be patient - it takes a long time if youve got hard brick
mart
I am not an expert, and i don`t know the thickness of your wall. However, i am imagining that the depth of a core drill will barely reach through one brick. Would it not be better to drill a few holes using a long sds bit about 12mm or thicker straight through both bricks, (including the cavity if there is one)? dutch
A smaller drill bit, hammer and chissel and work at the junction between few bricks. Easy to get 40 mm pipe through wall, dont worry. Make sure you know what you are doing, it does freeze sometimes and a little mistake plumbing and kitchen gets flooded.
