Arch Bishop ranting again

Recommended Posts

The Archbishop of Canterbury is a member of the House of Lords, therfore it is his duty and right to voice his opinion.

Yes. But perhaps that opinion should remain in the house of lords and not plastered through the press.

He's in The House of Lords - he is part of government. If you want to dismiss his opinions then you have to equally dismiss all the other Lords too.

Not true. As of the 1st of April there are 789 members of the house of lords. It is my reckoning that this man gets a disproportional representation in the press.

It wasn't so long ago the good archbishop was whining (rightly) about Gordon Brown's penchant for borrowing. Now that we have a leader with the guts to implement policies that will reduce borrowing (that would be paid back by future generations) RW does a U-turn. Does he share a moral compass with GB after all?

Well it's about time somebody of influence said it.

Nobody else seems to be sticking up for the ordinary people.

He would do well to concentrate on why his flock is growing smaller every year.

He's one of the reasons I would consider converting to Christianity. He behaves in what I consider to be a Christian manner.

My problem is the lack of belief in a deity...

So one can do as one pleases as long as someone else is doing worse?

How silly:loopy: The Archbishop is doing his job in caring, more than you can do it seems other than make silly comparrissons, how sad.
