Hello All

Does anyone know what is being built on the old Shiregreen Hotel? I've notcied some movement last and this week.. after it being abit of a Ghost Town for past god knows how long...

I was wondering the same . Its been derilict for way too long .

 

More than likely be some of those new appartments that are springing up everywhere.

they were going to put up apartments for the retired, this was a few years ago when the work first started to clear the place, it then stopped so dont no if its the same thing.

flats would be my best bet. what else do they build these days.

I hear that it is to be a halfway house for men recently out of prison. They will use the place to see if the men are ready for full freedom and independance, so that if they do not mug, burgle or rob anyone in the area for two months they are given a council house in a better area plus enhanced state benefits.

Oh i wouldn't mind flats that'd be nice. But I do think there should be a new nursing home cause loads are being knocked down.

I think they should re-build the Shiregreen Hotel exactly as it was. They could invite all the local residents to a grand opening ceremony.
