No probs. It's open 12 - 3 and there's no buffet - just the usual menu. Didn't check but I would guess it's not open on either Monday/Tues as it isn't in the eve.

Hope that makes sense!

Anyway the food was amazing..... as was the service.

Hope you enjoy.

Well, we finally managed to use our KGB voucher, this lunchtime. When I phoned to book, I first had to convince the owner to let us use it for a family of 5 (compromise - a bill for two and a bill for three) and then was told that lunchtime was a bad time to use the voucher because 'no-one can eat enough at lunchtime to spend £30 on food'. I had to tell him that, on three previous visits, I had never spent less than £30 on the food for lunch, at which point he said that he now knew who I was and that I would be welcome 'because I always cleared my plate'!

The food was as good as ever and much enjoyed by the kids, including an excellent mutton biryani, drumsticks in a hot'n'sour tamarind sauce, chettinadu chicken (new favourite - very rich 16 spice sauce), anandhu(?) fish curry and the obligatory masala dosa. The bread selection (paratha, poori, chapattis) plus a portion of vegetable rice was all we needed to mop up the sauces. Starters were also very good (2 varieties of vada, aubergine fritters, chili paneer, chicken 65) although the latter was voted a bit tame. Sadly no-one had room for dessert, probably due to the very thick mango lassi (I prefer the thinner salt lassi) but plenty of yummy left-overs for me to finish off.

Total bill: £39.20 with voucher, which was probably only break-even for the restaurant but they now have 4 new Dhanistha devotees!

My review of Dhanistha's.

I love it - too busy troughing to write down the name of the fish dish! Says it all about Dhanistha's, I think.

A couple of points:

They tone down the spice and salt levels for the Brit tastebuds (thankfully) but will make 'home-style' food on request.

I think the voucher was from KGB rather than Groupon.

Went there last night in a big group, and I have to say it was amazing! The mutton special was incredible, and the service was excellent considering what a large party we were. Full marks to the staff and kitchen. I'll be visiting again, definitely, and I hope it ever remains so good.

Went for the third time last week, it was great! the service and even the food has improved massively since my first visit...

So fresh tasting, healthy (no clarified butters) and different to the usual heavy indian curries..I shared the mutton curry- awesome flavours, a dosa and a couple of veg dishes, one had really strange but delicious vegetables in it, 1 of the vegetables was sweet, but you suck it rather than chew! so much fun!! never had it before, looks a bit like okra? can anyone from Sri Lanka tell me what vegetable this is??

Overall 5 stars, this is fast becoming my favourite restaurant in Sheff...
