andyk68
I have a freeview tv and a projector but i cant connect the two and get anything through the projector. Any ideas please? I've used a VGA and also the yellow phono cable but I believe they are inputs not outputs.
alchresearch
Most Freeview TVs consider the screen as the "end of the chain" and the only output device it can display onto. Â It's unlikely there is any output on it to connect to your projector.
Greengeek
Depends on the TV. Some will have the option of turning one of the inputs into an output, but will probably only allow you to pass through whatever's connected to the other inputs. Â My Sony 32KDL2000 will turn the composite outputs on the side to an output, but you have to select it in the menu. Â Â Probably easier to get a cheap freeview box though. andyk68
Then can it be done using a VCR or DVD player?

L00b
Then can it be done using a VCR or DVD player? It could be done using a VCR, DVD player, even a freeview box indeed, or whatever else outputs a signal compatible with your projector's input(s), provided your projector has composite ('red/white/yellow'), SVHS or SCART input. You just need the right cable and/or an adapter (e.g. SCART<-> composite, if required).  Note that you can't have SCART or composite (VCR, DVD) > VGA (projector), however. andyk68
The TV model is LUXOR 16855. Just looked through the menu and it has a 'EXT OUT' but not sure what to or by what connection.
Greengeek
If you have a composite output (Red, White, Yellow) it will be those. Â Connect those to the projector, and try EXT OUT.
