Stop doing it then. I'm not going to get into a debate about it but you're being an idiot.

I really think some of the comments here about the manager of the venue are well out of order - sure, it's a public forum about a public venue but lets not forget we're talking about what is essentially a small community of people and no-one deserves to come here and see people talking about themselves in that way.

Yes I agree, thats what you get though when ex-Fuel staff start moaning about their ex-boss.

:(

You are so obviously from Fuel it is amusing.

And yes I am a gay person for whatever business it is of anyone else. Letting staff go is not reasonable, it is sad for the people concerned as they don't have Fuel in Hull to run off to. I find it in bad taste to continue a club night in these circumstances.

Im not from Fuel , just putting some facts down and talking sense of which you are not.

I was questioning the authenticity of your "gayness" as you wished for another gay club to leave our fair city, so i concluded that you were either straight or just mearly an unsupporting gay .

I dont think that because people may have been "layed-off" is a valid reason for wanting them to leave the city , people get layed-off all the time , workers from factories , shop's etc so would it be in bad taste for them too i wonder ?

Yes it is sad that people have to loose their jobs of course i would agree , but if there is no work for them , then you gotta let them go

:(

some could say you're being a hypocrite here.

Because I'm telling you directly rather than waiting until you're offline to trash you on a forum that I well know you use and will inevitably see?

At the end of the day there's a chance for something new to rise up out of this. It's early days, rumours are flying around, etc. but as a customer over the past few years I've seen and met a lot of people who've had a wicked time there, as I have myself. And funnily enough I don't think they were all employees there as it seems anyone who shares that opinion is branded as such.

Anyway, if you're not going to go to Plug or support Fuel because you don't like it, or you don't like the fact that the entrance will be opposite a kebab shop or whatever, that's fair enough. But for those of us that hope there'll be a new venue and have long complained about what Sheffield is lacking, lets not be drowned out by negativity.

There's a real chance here to put some positive ideas forward about what might help in the future, what Sheffield lacks now. It's pretty much starting up from scratch which means a real opportunity to incorporate new ideas and be heard.

But if the thread is full of people moaning who in their right mind at a management level is going to sift through it all to find maybe one positive suggestion?!

but you're not, you're telling me on a forum.

the bottom line is gabriella, yes i may dislike the manager of fuel on a personal level, and at times, may use this forum as an outlet for these personal feelings.

however, i do actually respect the highest level of management within the fuel group, and do sincerely hope they find another premises in sheffield, which they really put their heart and soul into, as they do over in hull.

their current manager in sheffield, in my personal opinion is not the right person to steer any venue they may find in sheffield in the right direction.

Which facts are these - I must have missed them.

I was questioning the authenticity of your "gayness" as you wished for another gay club to leave our fair city, so i concluded that you were either straight or just mearly an unsupporting gay .

I thought you were pleased about Fuel closing and becoming a gay night at Plug?

I'm sure Edindave must have his certificate of gayness somewhere, should it be required.

Yes it is sad that people have to loose their jobs of course i would agree , but if there is no work for them , then you gotta let them go

Oh well, hard luck I suppose. Its the customer's fault after all isn't it? Of course the only real victims in all of this are Fuel's management...

At last i've found someone other than the Neanderthals !!!!!

Who exactly are you calling neanderthals dear? At least most of us can string a sentence together properly.

You go on about bitching and slagging things off, yet you are quite happy to come on here after two days and start insulting everyone that doesn't agree with your supposed non-negative attitude?

If you don't like it, don't come on and post 'dude'.

Anyway, back on topic...

According to the email that they have sent out this evening (which also now matches their homepage) they are "looking into a surprise new venue soon".

There must be a disused working men's club somehwere where they can throw a glitter ball up.

:(

I can assist with that, I own a Gay Porn Site which has over 50,000 visitors a day makes me fairly gay in my view.

I am just bored of the Fuel rumour machine. It sends out so much rubbish. Instead of going quietly like anyone else they have to try and pose even after they have been outdone by the very people they tried to shut down.

It is even more amusing when it is your first post just as they are shutting and it is not written in punter lingo, that is a manager talking.

Where did i say i was happy Fuel is closing ? don't know where that came from , have you been reading different post's from the one's i've wrote dear ? laughable :loopy:

Having looked at the statement they have made about the moor development , rental costs etc , i can understand why they have took the decision they did (all be it a sad one) was

what i was saying , of course im not happy with it closing and the implications that have arisen from it .

I suspect you are just trying to provoke me into a retaliation because u can't come back with anything of any substance , which i will not enter into , let's also clear some other things up shall we.

I'm sure Edindave must have his certificate of gayness somewhere, should it be required.
(typical meaks sarcasm)

I was questioning why a GAY person would want a GAY club to shut ?:loopy:

Oh well, hard luck I suppose. Its the customer's fault after all isn't it? Of course the only real victims in all of this are Fuel's management...

The fact is if there are no people out their supporting a venue , it can't run on thin air can it ? So inevitably it has to shut its called economics.

To be fair a lot of comments put on here i feel are just malicious drivel , aimed at Fuel from what i can see with little substance , i am putting a balanced view point across , (two sides to the coin and all that) , i could if i wanted to "bitch" as you put it , about clubs etc , but i choose NOT to do that , its pointless unlike yourself with you sarcastic negative comments (see above for example) , I personally do like Fuel and have had some great times their and made some amazing friends and if i see a comment i disagree with i will put forward my case , with reasoning :)
